Dog-killer misses his mark and hits his partner.

Another example of the blue-clad gang that can't shoot straight.

We recently had another cop-shooting-vicious-dog event in the Denver metro area. Here's a link if interested: http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_22068402/vigil-protest-planned-commerce-city-over-dog-killed?IADID=Search-www.denverpost.com-www.denverpost.com

Here's my comments on the story/site:

"Without a doubt this dog shooting cop will at the most receive a slap on the hand or the "event" will be washed away as an unfortunate but necessary action to protect the community.

"Cops are becoming too militarized both in equipment and mentality. They no longer seek to "protect and serve" as law enforcement agencies, but swagger as societal controllers. I'm mildly surprised that they didn't send a full SWAT unit in to handle this "aggressive dog -- a dog that barked at visitors but had absolutely no history of attacking or biting anybody. A dog that had already been tazed and was in a control loop by animal control...brave cop indeed.

"Some of these trigger happy clowns who are now rapidly becoming the norm rather than the exception on our police forces are only too happy to pull their trigger whenever they feel they can get away with it. Then they brag about how tough they are...pathetic.

"They are getting so trigger happy in some cases they ignore safety rules when blowing away vicious dogs and people -- see: http://www.fox16.com/mostpopular/story/Police-officer-shot-by-partner-trying-to-kill-dog/tNWAt4krZEqfO37zRTlxkQ.cspx (Excerpt: Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong stated Bryant was accidentally shot by a fellow officer who was trying to shoot a pit bull, but missed.)

"People think they need to call the police when in danger -- too often with the modern "Rambos" wearing a badge you are just increasing your personal danger."
