"Our Westgate Is Coming."

No one wants to think about Westgate Mall, or how it could have been in Raleigh, or Tampa, or Sacramento, or Cleveland, just as easily as it was Nairobi.

I think it is a mistake to get panties in a bind, even over a showy terrorist attack (in the unlikely event it actually happens, rather than just being a way for Homeland Stupidity to get more money and power just like BATFE attempted with Waco). We are more likely to die from our own cops than from terrorists (unless you consider cops to be terrorists, of course). The chances of dying by terror are miniscule. To actually worry one might die that way is idiocy.

Of course the US govt is now bombing Syria. Geez, I wonder if that is going to help any...

I don't go to malls anymore. Haven't in probably 20 years.

Paul X is 100% right....at least for the time being.

What we don't need is a bigger, stronger police state.

What would solve this problem best is a citizen militia....and yet the video accompanying this piece only very briefly mentions it. I have a feeling the "fix" hinted at by the fat ass in the Primary Weapons hat is MORE government power and force, less freedom to be free of illegal search and seizure, etc.

Wow....so you don't go to malls. Great. Neither do I, but F**K man, seriously?

You WREAK of "if it's not happenin' to me, it ain't happenin'"....when you say sh*t like that.

No wonder America is screwed.....selfish pricks.

So...can we start hunting them NOW?

The only way to deal with terrorism is arming the population and helping them get good training. Cops are there to write the reports afterwards, and Paul X is right that many of our militarized police are more of a danger to us than terrorists.
The way not to worry is to be prepared. Practice situational awareness, get a gun, get trained, don't leave home without it.

Paul X is correct. Terrorism is a boogeyman that the Powers That Be have been using to justify the creation of the police state in which we now find ourselves living. And while the police state is already here, the Powers That be have every intention of making it far, far worse.

Because the overwhelming majority of Americans love material comfort more than freedom, and value long life more than meaningful life, they will keep taking it up their asses from the politicians and their armed servants every time they're told to bend over.

Absent a mass awakening, North Korea will look like a libertarian paradise in comparison with the future America.
