Other than the fact that she never should have been arrested by New Jersey stormtroopers in the first place . . .

A disturbing aspect of this whole affair is that it seems a majority of police officers would have arrested her. Even the eminent Mas Ayoob admits he probably would have arrested her. A person in a position of authority who knows an action is wrong, but does it anyway, deserves condemnation.

See it at this link, seventh or so comment up from the bottom:

Fantastic news....though based on the lack of responses in the comment sections of the previous stories you posted here on the forum, I do have to wonder if the vast majority of the readers here don't care b/c we're a lot more tribal than we're willing to admit. :(

I'd like to comment on that, Anon 9:28. I haven't commented before about this because I was waiting to see what happened. Now that she is free, and unencumbered, I am certainly very happy about it, and I think it is a very good outcome. About that tribal thing. I want to say that while I am glad for her and her family, I often find it difficult to have ANY sympathy for blacks about anything, given their proclivities in the past few years for attacking whites in unprovoked, and sometimes deadly assaults. I also lived in close quarters with them in the Army for many years, and have seen them game the system for racial preferences, and behave in a manner that befits animals. While many of them also behaved honorably, the impression I was left with is that they would do anything they could get away with, and anyones' expense. I personally have been victimized by blacks, more than once, and so has my family. So tribal it is. But here's the rub, pal. I admit I am tribal, and experience taught me that. Get all misty if you want about the poor, downtrodden black man, but I know better, and if some one wants to lay that guilt trip on me, save your breath, and your time. My policy is be polite, be professional, and have a plan to kill every one you meet. And I'm an equal opportunity planner. With an emphasis on my darker brethren. You may do as you like, but ignore reality at your own peril.

This is WRONG! She was conned into accepting PTI -basically pleading GUILTY without the punishment. This way, prosecutors get to keep their bullshit law in place to foist upon others.

This lady could have been a modern day Rosa Parks had she refused to take the "deal". Instead, she offered her implied consent to the validity of the "law" by "admitting" wrongdoing.

This was really a perfect storm that would have blasted the permit system itself to kingdom come and instead of "standing and fighting" the NRA stood down - on the sideline just like gunwalker.

This "outcome" is not to be celebrated. Indeed, it's just another Citizen relenting and conceding their own rights -and the rest of ours along with it- by trying to save their own skin under THREAT of government persecution.

Folks, we will NEVER win when we will not even stand and fight, choosing instead to take deals that rest on false premise and actually buttress that false premise.

When you hire a shyster, the plea deal comes with the package. It was bad for those of us who strain to find justice. The rule of law continues to be spat upon. That is why I refuse to give money to people in her condition who are being counselled by two-legged snakes. Had she hired a GOA attorney, methinks the outcome would have been different, but then again, is any licensed shyster to be trusted?
