A .303 British sniper rifle?...not the one I had when I was a kid soon after WWII! You could drive nails at 100 yards, but were lucky to hit the barn, much less the barn door at 200 yards! Of course at that time there was one ammo brand in the stores and one size bullet...215 grain..and no Internet to search for something better. Never saw accuracy drop off that much with any other gun.
Funny that's not what they are saying at all. They are trying to ban a "target acquisition system" originally intended for military use on robots and drones, that has "kinda-sorta" been "tweeked" to ALMOST work on a human operated firearm. At $25000-$50000 dollars US a pop I don't see bubba running out to buy one.
Anon @ 3:15 PM - you do realize that no matter how expensive that 'target acquisition system is, it STILL takes a human being to make the conscious decision to actually pull the trigger. THAT is the inescapable truth that the hoplophobes (intentionally?) fail to acknowledge - the gun can NOT fire itself - it still takes the human to do that. That is their intent - to totally ignore the human element....and the responsibility for that human action.

That pic reminds me that my milsurp collection has a glaring absence of an Enfield.
They really do tell you what they are afraid of don't they?
I wonder why they are so afraid.....
They must be doing something that makes then nervous....

Sorry friend; but the goal of the fascists is still a ban on the personal ownership of firearms.
