"There are NO obsolete weapons, only obsolete tactics"
Rifle grenades may indeed be cheaper, more accurate, and go farther... If you have happen to have them.
But for the other 99% of people who don't, these "toys" are a valuable training tool and readily adaptable vehicle for "other" payloads using a standard 12oz beverage can as an olgive casing.
If necessity is the mother of invention, then commonality is the mother of modification.
Interesting. Shooting cans takes on a whole new meaning there!
I gotta wonder about the possibilities though. Replace the liquid in the can with several glass-filled vials of chemicals (e.g. bleach and ammonia). When the modified can smashes into a target the glass vials break and allows the chemicals to mix and create a harmful gas. Could prove useful one day, yet legal to own since it's really just a soda can launcher.
Hey, maybe a bunch of retards should NOT go immediately retarded and start listing ways we can illegally misuse the hell out of this thing. Maybe we should leave some things unsaid, as they should always be, and not act like the potential chemical-weapons-using terrorists the anti-gunners want us to be.

I'm sure this can be made to shoot a molotov cocktail in some form pretty easily....

I'm confused, how are rifle grenades cheaper than Coke cans?
I'll admit that a grenade launch tube is MUCH cheaper than the Coke launch upper.
I'll admit it's smaller than a potato gun. You will want the longer barrel to launch heavier warloads farther more accurately though.
