Let's look at this objectively and dispassionately, shall we?
1.) Many Christians sneer at claims that Islam is the "religion of peace." But is such scoffing truly justified? Christians claim to follow Christ, who is also known as the "Prince of Peace." Jesus is quoted in the Bible as telling his followers to "resist not one who is evil" and "turn the other cheek." Was he not being serious when he issued those commands? How many Christians follow Jesus' example? How peaceful have Western Christians been over the past century? Generally speaking, have Muslims been invading and occupying Christian lands, or have Christians been invading and occupying Muslim lands?
2.) The percentage of Muslims in countries like the US and Canada who commit violent acts is obviously miniscule. We're talking about a tiny fraction of one percent. Does it make sense to judge an entire group by what a tiny fraction of its members do? Frankly, with all the provocation Muslims receive from the US government's murderous foreign policy, I'm amazed that terrorism isn't a thousand times more common among them.
3.) The same government that seeks the total subjugation of Muslims overseas is destroying the freedoms, privacy, and way of life of Americans here at home. Yet Americans take the side of "their" government against the overseas victims of "their" government. Some even sign up to serve (and potentially sacrifice life or limb for) the government that hates their freedoms. Such is a testament to the power of the propaganda that permeates our society.
Mike, you know I agree with you on almost everything, but when you only tag the Islamic wackos and not the Christian wackos (like Frein) you're assisting the ruling class in demonizing 1/4 of the world. this is how they win support for wars and their population reduction strategies. there will be Muslims among the 3%, I have no doubt. why not welcome them, or at least not chase them away?
John, while I normally like your posts, asking to have the recorded history of Islam (to include up to this second) spoon fed back to you is a little discourteous.

The point here is that Islam isn't just a religion, it's also a system of government. A tyrannical system of government at that.
When you combine that with the fact that it's the 'minority of violent criminals' who are the ones that actually follow their holy book, well, people are going to speak out against it.

The Bible also says we all have the right to defend ourselves against a physical attack.
