While police brutality seems to have become a very big problem, I believe that the city council and such bureaucrats that sign their pay checks are the larger problem. Think about it, if an officer believes he/she will lose their job for being a bully etc. they might not do it. It has been acceptable and not unlike the democratic party to "circle the wagons" and protect, rather than allow the truth and consequently open the possibility to law suits and other embarrassments. It has become so ridiculous that no matter if there is video evidence, it will be ignored or in some instances laws introduced to stop the citizenry from protecting itself with a camera. Cops do not have the power to do such things.
Then you have the other side of the coin in Ferguson, MO where the communist party USA and Black Panthers have gotten out of hand to a degree I'm not sure I have seen in a very long time. The internet seethes with "heroes" who want to kill cops etc and add coals on the fires of discontent which I believe is no accident. The decay of society and our legal system continue to bring us to a place that make it near impossible to end well.
not that anyone cares. the "new" BPPFSD and the "old" BPPFSD are two different things. the first ones were actually constitutionalists, which I know seems really strange. go read their writings.
two entirely different things. no people even overlap. i say this as someone who knows people.
