"Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Ashkelon. . . " McConnell channels Major Strasser. "Of what value is that? You may recall what RINO guarantees have been worth in the past."

"Let us now praise famous men, and our fathers that begat us". -- Wisdom of Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) Chap. 44, verse 1.)
I learned yesterday afternoon in a spate of panicked phone calls from friends and fellow freedom fighters that U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had been found dead at a West Texas ranch.
A long-time friend sent along the links with this anguished comment and accompanying verses: "As for me, I can think of no adequate epitaph other than David's lament for Saul and Jonathan."
17 And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and Jonathan his son, 18 and he said it should be taught to the people of Judah; behold, it is written in the Book of Jashar. He said:  “Your glory, O Israel, is slain on your high places!  How the mighty have fallen!
20 Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Ashkelon,
lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised exult.
21 “You mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor fields of offerings!
For there the shield of the mighty was defiled, the shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.
22 “From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back,
and the sword of Saul returned not empty.
23 “Saul and Jonathan, beloved and lovely! In life and in death they were not divided;
they were swifter than eagles; they were stronger than lions.
24 “You daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you luxuriously in scarlet,
who put ornaments of gold on your apparel.
25 “How the mighty have fallen in the midst of the battle! “Jonathan lies slain on your high places.
26     I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; very pleasant have you been to me;
your love to me was extraordinary, surpassing the love of women.
27 “How the mighty have fallen, and the weapons of war perished!”
Almost immediately we had this announcement from the spaghetti-spined Mitch McConnell: "No vote on Scalia replacement under Obama." Yeah, right. To paraphrase Ilsa in Casablanca, "Of what value is that? You may recall what RINO guarantees have been worth in the past." Indeed. Does anyone over the age of five believe that McConnell, Ryan and Company won't contrive to sell us out once again?
A friend and long-time DC observer writes:

"The death of Justice Scalia will significantly exacerbate social divisions and conflict, but it is a good thing in the sense that it will ABSOLUTELY resonate with voters--and brings fresh meaning to the notion that one is not only electing a President, one is electing a person who will fill vacancies on the Supreme Court, something I think most people have realized given the age of the Justices. It also demonstrates how fragile some of the recent gains, i.e., in 2nd Amendment are. It is fairly well agreed upon that had Heller come up before a differently composed Supreme Court, the decision could have been different. It seems, by definition, that his death will significantly impact the 2016 Presidential election, regardless of whether Obama nominates a replacement or not. On another level, I believe Justice Scalia's death is a significant movement towards the social chaos that is inevitably going to descend upon the entire population of the United States, because of the reach of the Supreme Court and the notion of a new balance arising within it."

As for me, Scalia's death is merely one more portent of the civil war soon to come.

Or even the guarantees of "real" Republicans? When Republicans of high repute nominate Supreme Court justices there is even then no guarantee of how they will behave once robed in black. As evidence, I offer John Roberts, exhibit A in support of the argument that none of the sitting justices, save only Clarence Thomas, have any respect for the Constitution.

Uncivil war does indeed seem imminent, and we need all keep our powder dry.

Justice Antonin Scalia: Bulwark For Individual Right To Keep And Bear Arms

A number of tweets on the internet either have hoped that the late justice was in hell or in heaven.
This brings up the matter as to whether the late justice was a genuine Christian or not, truly transformed inwardly by the powerful Word of God, or not. His close associates could testify better to this matter.
For instance, while the gospel still was being preached in this country, unlike the future when the Almighty, out of punishment, will cause a famine of gospel preaching in this land (see Amos 8:11) due to a lack of interest, Mr. Scalia had ample opportunity to be approached by God's call to repentance, and by his gospel's offer of full and free salvation accomplished solely by Jesus Christ in his cross-suffering and in his Easter resurrection, and under the powerful influence of God's gospel, to believe it. Indeed, other Americans prominent in government have. Listen to their testimonials!
For example, George Washington prayed, "Pardon, I beseech Thee, my sins! Remove them from Thy presence as far as the East is from the West, and accept me for the merits of Thy Son Jesus Christ!" President Buchanan gave this confession of gospel faith: "I trust that the almighty Father, through the merits and atonement of His Son, will yet vouchsafe to me a clearer and stronger faith." After his son died, President Garfield wrote a letter to a friend, concluding, "In the hope of the Gospel, which is so precious in this hour of affliction, I am affectionately your brother in Christ." President Harrison declared, "I am a firm believer in the religion of the Lord Jesus Christ." President Hayes echoed, "I am a firm believer in the divine teachings, personal example, and the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ." President Andrew Jackson wrote in the first clause of his will: "The Bible is true. Upon that sacred volume I rest my hope of eternal salvation through the merits of our blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." President Van Buren openly testified, "The atonement of Jesus Christ is the only remedy and rest for my soul" President Andrew Johnson exclaimed, "Let us look forward to the time when we can take the flag of our country and nail it below the cross... and exclaim, 'Christ first, our country next'." This is why Supreme Court Justice David Brewer, for example, could write in his decision of the 1892 case: "The Church of the Holy Trinity vs. United States" (143 U.S. 471) that America is a "Christian nation."
While we still have religious freedom in our land, before it will be extinguished, seek out shelter in God's gospel pledge of pardon for your guilt and sin stains now before you die in order to be safe from the Almighty's Judgment Day to come! Do it today!

I suspect this won't be the last untimely death this political season. This may play out like 1968. At least, the media narrative is no longer exclusive.

I absolutely agree with MVB's notion that the passing of Justice Scalia, be it natural OR nefarious, is a portent of the civil war to soon come. He was the strongest, and the last, link to the Original Intent with which the Founders established our liberties. Good luck and may God Bless us all!

CIA's Heart Attack Gun

Former CIA employee Mary Embree discusses the infamous heart attack gun. The weapon was first made public during the Church Committee hearings in 1975. Very lethal & untraceable, using this weapon a murder is made to look natural. No doubt the CIA has been using this weapon and has most likely improved upon it since the 70's.

Thank you Mike and your most powerful sentence in your article is "As for me, Scalia's death is merely one more portent of the civil war soon to come." How right you are .

Mike is right, as usual...but it makes not a rat's ass anyway.

Since the late 1860's, all .gov branches have operated as they have listed, and their world handlers have wanted.

It's not like the Constitution is a mysterious document which needs a plurality of legal masterminds to tell us what it says.

Most folks who can read and understand English know EXACTLY what it says.

Those so-called "conservative" members, as you speak about are the very ones who allowed us get where we are now, right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

The number of totally unconstitutional bureaucracies and corpgov agents are mindboggling, and there is nothing done about it.

Besides, as is well known, there are two "American Governments". It's just that the one has already conquered the other.

Face it...unless and until enough folks stand up in meaningful ways to these alter-humans, we are totally screwed...

AND..Think about this part... Eventually this cycle will pass into freedom once the slavery cycle has run it's course, and Your posterity will blame you for it.

It is time to consider this as a remedy: http://www.apfn.org/apfn/cfr-members.htm

"As for me, Scalia's death is merely one more portent of the civil war soon to come."

My first thought was much the same. I expect His Majesty to move with what many (most?) would consider unseemly haste to replace this good man and champion of liberty. I would not be surprised if we saw first rumors of replacement names even before Justice Scalia is in his grave. Hell! I wouldn't be surprised if the White House didn't announce a replacement before Justice Scalia is in his grave. Would anybody here be surprised if Obama himself didn't announce a replacement before the funeral? And who here would really expect Obama to hold off until the flags are again at full staff?

Gotta figure the talking points will involve not allowing one man's death to stop or impede the function of government. Also the GOP members who try to follow McConnell's statement will be labeled obstructionists. I figure we'll have a new Justice - one who will make Sonia Sotomayor look like a moderate - nominated, confirmed, sworn in and hearing cases by Memorial Day.

Look out Bill of Rights, here comes SCOTUS!

William Riley said...

America has become like the previous USSR: Eliminating those individuals that stand in the way of a totalitarian society. With access to the best health care it is unbelievable that a 79 year old SCOTUS judge, with no history of a heart problem, suddenly dies of it.
This is akin to the JFK Assasination, and blaming it on a fall guy, followed by a Committee that ignored all other facts and declared case closed.

Couple those sentiments with the possibility of a recess appointment by Obama http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2016/02/could-obama-make-a-recess-appointment-to-replace-scalia-the-answer-may-be-yes/

It is not enough to say we are at a critical point in the history of our country. The importance of the next appointee can not be overly expressed. Heller vs DC was won 5-4 pro individual right to bear arms, if Obama gets his appointee in it will go that way again but in the reverse. I believe he will fast track a 2A case to the SCOTUS so as to redefine "well regulated militia" thus making felons out of millions of Americans with the handing down of just one decision. We the People, all across the nation, will follow in the footsteps of our brothers and sisters in CT and NY and not comply. This will put the Federal Government at conflict with the people it governs. After that, it will be only a matter of time before the inevitable begins.

"...a portent of the civil war to come."

Exactly so, Mike.

Our Republic is in severe jeopardy today because of Justice Scalia's death yesterday.

I believe Obama will appoint Scalia's successor, and that McConnell and the Senate will confirm anyone Obama wants, including the odious Eric Holder.

Imagine a 5-4 Supreme Court decision interpreting the 2nd Amendment to ban the mere possession of handguns. It could happen. MILLIONS of us would not comply, of course. Andy Federal attempt at confiscation would quickly lead to mass death.

But this event could be the inflection point of the downfall of the American Republic, and quite possibly the traceable initiation of the 2nd American Civil War.

The bell tolls for Antonin G. Scalia. RIP, Nino.

As to that civil war, Satan declared it long before the Founding.

Scalia's passing seems a momentous event, but I don't think we should view it as such. The bad stuff started long ago, and this is just another data point in a long continuum of apparent victories for the dark side.

But is it really? Recall that our rights come from "Nature, and Nature's God" and not from any earthly body. It is nice to have defenders like Scalia, but in the final analysis our rights are not here for the taking unless we allow it.

Remember as well that past financial mischief ALONE guarantees that there is only one path out of this mess - forward through a collapse. Such collapse is underway, accompanied by moral and cultural collapses of equal magnitude.

This brings me, quite unexpectedly, to our friend Mike Vanderboegh. For weeks I've been looking for the words and suddenly here they are: These are equally great men. Mike Vanderboegh and Antonin Scalia are birds of a feather!

Both pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor to the cause of human liberty. Equally great intellects, each produced an eloquent body of work defending freedom. (I have read widely in this area, and know of no two other writers more pleasurable to read or more insightful.)

We all feel the call for freedom in our gut, and are grateful whenever someone brilliantly articulates what we know to be true. Scalia did that, and fought the good fight at a high level of a terribly corrupt government.

I would argue that Mike actually contributed more of value, not because he was a better man than Scalia (I really view them as equals) but because Mike fought in an arena far more relevant to our times. If FREEFOR prevails, I expect Mike will eventually be acknowledged as the more influential of the two.

Certainly, many besides these two characters have fought for and articulated the case for liberty. However, there is only one Founding Father of the Three Percent.

May God bless both of them and all of us, and may Mike and Nino someday revel in making each other's acquaintance in Heaven...

P. S. - Recent events remind us that far too few are equipped to pick battles wisely while keeping the moral high ground. Most of the tools for such decisions reside here, on this blog. They are Mike's words. For starters, if you can't explain the Three Percent Catechism, in front of others and without notes, you are heading into battle unarmed. (You fight with your mind, so furnish it...)

Team Evil remains quite worried about us, for good reason. WE are on the right side of this, and they know it. Now we each must become our own leader, and I hope we all become servant leaders to the best of our abilities, like Mike. If each of us is as resolute as the Scalias and the Vanderboeghs, I think we have a pretty good chance.

It matters not patriots. My rights are not subject to the whims of political "hacks" in black robes. My rights are rights given to me by God and those who sacrificed all in forging this nation. We and our elders have allowed this thing to go unchallenged for far too long. Those who mean to enslave us through tyranny are going to make their move now .....plan accordingly.

As a very wise man whom I love dearly once wrote: "Remember that whether they come as conquerors or elected officials, the men who secretly wish to be your murderers must first convince you that you must accept them as your masters".

It occurs to me that a loooooooot of people are forgetting Scalia's positioning, decisions and votes about COMMERCE CLAUSE.....

And, that almost all deviant GUN CONTROL is ROOTED in the commerce clause CASE LAW.

One more thing - No Autopsy is SHADY. Very very shady.
Pssssst - Ginsburg will dip out soon leaving two vacancies and a push for the congress to consent to both of Obama's picks.

Then, FOUR of the court's liberal will be Obama's legacy.
IF the Republican party does not STOP THIS COLD, then the civil war fuse we have talked about for years will have been lit.

There can be no rational doubt about it.

There have been laws made in NY, CT, NJ and other places that have made felons out of otherwise honest people.

But you know what? Millions of American freedom loving citizens are just IGNORING those laws. And more of us will continue to ignore more of the laws they are going to make in the future, even with the help of a corrupt SCOTUS. It was already corrupted as witness the decisions that saved Obamacare. Roberts is NO conservative, he is a "quisling".

In the end, no matter how many laws they make they will still have to send the "mall cops" and "rent a cops" of FEMA to get those guns from the rest of us.

They already have the law behind them for seizing so called "illegal assault rifles" in several states but are too chicken shit to do it.....so far. Maybe one day they will find the balls, or the sheer "stupidity" to try and do just that, and the battle will be joined!

The left can make all the laws they want in the future......I will just wipe my butt on those I think are unconstitutional and hope they come after all of us sooner rather than later!

There is no compromise between the two sides, we will have to fight them some day, Fed.Gov might as well get it on.

Congress Can Deny Barack Obama the Power to Replace Justice Scalia

Obama isn’t even entitled to nominate a replacement for Justice Scalia–or at least, Congress can deny him that right. The Constitution gives Congress the power to decide how many seats there are on the Supreme Court. In 1789, there were only six. Given sufficient congressional support (i.e., veto-proof majorities in both chambers), Congress could reduce the number of Supreme Court justices from the current nine to eight. McConnell, Cruz, and Rubio could propose doing so right now. It seems strange to criticize senators who are merely expressing in what circumstances they will withhold their consent when Congress has the power to deny the president the ability to fill this vacancy entirely by itself eliminating this vacancy.

First let me say, may Antonin Scalia rest in peace. I believe he was a good and decent man.

That said, I have little regard for ANY rogue court...up to and including SCOTUS. If The Constitution was strictly followed by everyone in government, then having to rule on the constitutionality of laws would be quite unnecessary. Since I am an active participant in The Armed Civil Disobedience of Non-Compliance, gun laws, court make-up, and court rulings are meaningless to me. Once a felon, or a felon 300 times over....is there a difference, really? They can find hidden rights, or not see them as they please. I just don't care, and won't participate in abortions, gay-marriages, or campaigning, and pay cash for my healthcare when I can. I will keep my guns, ammo, and magazines until they try to take them away.

As we've seen with Kennedy and Roberts (and previously Souter), being appointed by a Republican president means nothing. The 5-4 conservative majority was always fiction. It was really 3 activist libs, 2 squishy morons, and 3 constructionists.
