I dunno. With both eyes closed in a self-induced willing suspension of disbelief? The Trump "magic show."

Herschel Smith: "How Can A Christian Vote For Donald Trump?"
I have to hand it to Trump. He knows how to perform a magic show. It’s like the magician who shouts “Look here, Obamacare is a disaster …,” noise and flashing lights, and in the other hand he is hiding what he doesn’t want you to see, that he wants a single payer health care system just like Obama. “Look here, A WALL, and it’s going to be big and beautiful and we’re going to get Mexico to pay for it …,” the people go wild, flashing lights, and in the other hand he holds the truth, that wall has a gigantic door through which they can all pass back in. “I’ll tear down the system …” flashing lights, and in the other hand he holds the truth, he wants to meet with these people in the oval office and make deals. Oh, on that last one, it isn’t hidden. He said so. Well, to be honest, he said so about the other two as well. But the idiots didn’t see it for the flashing lights, or they didn’t want to see it because they are members of a religious cult. But on the biggest one, “Look here, I think abortion is horrible …,” flashing lights, but I’m pro-choice and Planned Parenthood has good people and does good things.

Quite frankly I am less disgusted by the freak show CANDIDATES in politics than I am in the true believers morons fighting about who is less evil, yet you still actually still think they ELECT anyone...

Go read the Constitution. all your petty infighting means nothing. Read Article 2 Section 1. "The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his office during the term of four years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same term, be elected, as follows:

Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or person holding an office of trust or profit under the United States, shall be appointed an elector.

The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves. And they shall make a list of all the persons voted for, and of the number of votes for each; which list they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates, and the votes shall then be counted. The person having the greatest number of votes shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such majority, and have an equal number of votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately choose by ballot one of them for President; and if no person have a majority, then from the five highest on the list the said House shall in like manner choose the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by States, the representation from each state having one vote; A quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. In every case, after the choice of the President, the person having the greatest number of votes of the electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal votes, the Senate shall choose from them by ballot the Vice President.

The Congress may determine the time of choosing the electors, and the day on which they shall give their votes; which day shall be the same throughout the United States."

So after this mornings civics lesson for you idiots, maybe you folks will find something useful to do other than whining about candidates ands elections that are so corrupt you need a screwdriver to follow them. I spent my weekend on my shooting skills, they will be worth more than your incessant and flatulent opinions and delusions. You screech about the freak show political circus when you are as much part and parcel actors in it. You Fake patriots don't even know your own Constitution. Sickening.

It is a cult of personality, just like Obama. The croney capitalist, game show host is the latest manipulator proving we now live in an Idiocracy. WWE democracy in which Trump has taken flip flopping to a new level, hourly. The man has NO convictions at all, other then tell them what they want to hear depending on the audience.

A great copy and paste job Neal.

So we don't elect a president the electoral college does?
Old news buddy.

What is the Electoral College?

Mike, after the previous article, you put up this one? ``Hey, GOP senators ... we are gone.'' That's how a Christian can vote for Trump. We're gone, and we're going to jab a dirty middle finger in the GOP's eye on the way out. Trump is that midddle finger. We have long since gotten used to voting for the lesser evil, so it's not like we haven't held our noses in the ballot box before.

We aren't voting for Trump because he made promises he probably won't keep: all the politicians do that. We are voting for Trump because he lies about doing what we actually want, rather than promising more amnesty for more illegals sooner. We are voting for Trump because he promises to halt, however briefly, the flood of government-sponsored mohammedan invaders. The other candidates were promising to bring in more.

The point isn't that Trump might do all that, the point is that Trump is going to get elected by promising to do all that. He's going to get elected by saaying things that aren't PC, and that liberals hate. He's going to prove that you can be Right, and get elected. The Republicans have been saying for years that their only viable candidates were just as far left as the Dems: the only way to get elected was to be a leftist. Even if everything Trump says is exposed as a lie, he's going to expose a bigger, more fundamental lie: you don't really have to be far-left to get elected.

For decades the leftists in the Republican party have had a lock on Christian votes, and have kept Christians from being an effective force in politics. It's time we got off the Republican plantation, and Trump is the only way off in sight. If he finally buries the dead elephant party, decent folks might again get a political voice. And, who knows? Maybe he means a few of those promises. If he does build a wall with a door, next time we might be able to elect somone who will close that door. And so on through all his promises.

If he keeps his promises, we win. If he breaks his promises, we wean a lot of good people away from the idea that voting matters. If the Republicans cheat him out of the nomination at a brokered convention, same thing. We've reached the point that it's all up from here.

We are traveling head on, at high speed, into a very organized communist army, hell bent of enslaving or killing each of us.

And we, the electorate, are fighting over which candidate has the best history of following the traffic laws to the letter.

Screw that! Vote for someone who will order the counter attack!

Thanks for being a genius Neal. You are very smart. Almost enough to make up for your smugness.

Trump isn't the magician. He's supposed to be the flashing lights what distract you from the truth about candidates in the other hand. Trump supporters can't help but look like idiots to everyone else, but they at least have figured out what's in the other hand.

They're on their last round playing along with the three-card monte before flipping the table and kicking the hustler in the groin. You're screaming that picking the card they're sure isn't right is a dumb move...we're wishing they'd already figured out the whole game was completely rigged.

Also, on the subject of Christianity, my I say that Trump is doctrinally incorrect but displays the right attitude (of course he doesn't mean, but he knows it and that impresses me much more than most 'Christians' manage).

We are to ask God for forgiveness the same way we ask for daily bread, with the understanding that our asking does not affect God's actions in the slightest, but only our attitude towards them. No amount of merely begging God for forgiveness avails any more than any other sort of 'works' (and considerably less than some), and Trump gets that, and talks of actual perseverance instead.

To be sure, not perseverance as a saint, from what I can tell. Nor with actual sincerity of intent. Trump isn't a Christian. But he's closer to becoming one than most people who claim they are.

Isn't it great to have people like Neal Jenson to tell us all how to think.

He comes across as such a wonderful person, don't ya know!

First and foremost, Trump is a slick salesman. Had to be to get where he is. Obama sold 'change' without telling anybody what it was. Freedom and liberty lost and everything labeled as 'affordable' now costs more. A F**king lot more! Obama 'blue skyed" the democrats so bad that a bunch of them are going to vote for a republican.
Trump is a better 'blue sky' artist than Obama. No ideals. No principles, except what will make him 'the winner.

Ted Cruz, on the other hand, wrote the amicus brief representing thirty states in the SCOTUS Heller decision, which chiseled in stone the individual right in the 2nd amendment. No blue sky bullshit!

The media is conning people into electing the very thing the people say they are tired of - rinos. Supposedly, electing a rino is punishing the rino party - or something.

The people of this country are abject idiots. At this point, I think Al Gore could run as a Republican and win.....it is all about the spite, right?

FFS.

I will say it as flatly as I can. If you vote for Donald Trump you are an idiot. You are every bit the idiot as the fools who voted for Obama. Yes, it really is that simple.

Gentlemen:

Before I start, let it be known I'm 71 years old and have been fooled by politicians in the past...but...It has occurred to me that those against Trump on this Comments Section must never have seen a Trump interview.

Let's review: He says he'll build a wall, that he'll stop the flow of Middle Eastern Immigrants into the country, that he'll get our industry back from China and elsewhere, that if we "Save" a country (Like Kuwait), we'll demand compensation to the injured or dead vets families. I could go on.

What's not to like about this?

His enemies have said he's not a true "Conservative". I would point our that we sent "Conservatives" to fill the House and Senate over the past two election cycles and what did we get. NOTHING!

I don't care what label you paste on Trump but all his ideas are conservative ideas.

Trump talks like a Man. He talks like a real American. Some people can't take that because our society has been taken over by the Metrosexual...men getting in touch with their feminine side. FxxK that!

If Trump says a word you wouldn't say in front of your mother, I really don't care. He talks like and says the things I and most of my friends have been saying for the past several years. We're a red neck, gun toting, ammunition stacking group of friends and we find little to criticize Trump for.

If not Trump, who? Name me another candidate. Cruz's wife was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Globalist group that want a one-world-government. She actually worked on the North American Union plan.

Marco, open borders Rubio is out of the question also.

Who's left?

We need a strong leader with a total disregard for Political Correctness and it's Trump.

And for you tough guys who wont vote, you're the reason we got Obama for two terms. How's your plan working out for you?

A "No Vote" in this election will be a vote for Hillary or Bernie.

Would it be better to fight at the ballot box rather than in the ditches and woods?

If you say "Yes" to that, your opinion doesn't matter. And...if you want to go the ditches and woods route, why don't you just get your AR and go to DC.

If you've read Mikes Blog for very long, you'd realize the enemy has to make that first move to violence or we loose the moral high ground. You need to familiarize yourself with 4G warfare if you don't know why that's important.

So...do what you want but you won't convince me that not voting or voting for a RINO is in my best interest.

We need a Man and a strong leader who'll slash and burn DC. Trump is it. Open your eyes.

Yeah, if Trump is the nominee I'll vote third party. I held my nose before and voted for whatever crap the GOP was serving up, but I am not voting to nullify the Constitution. I am a conservative and this circus of deranged, narcissistic reality TV stars and squishy "go-along-to-get-along" moderates is no longer a Party that represents me.

Is there a less-conservative person than Trump the GOP can nominate? Maybe Bernie Sanders?

Goodbye America, hello President Hillary Rodham Clinton. Thanks, Trump fans. Hope it was worth it just to flip-off the people on your own side.

I need to accelerate my preparations for the coming civil war.

How anyone can see in Trump anything but an outsized egotist and a sort of walking shadow of fascism in the guise of a redeemer is beyond me. The man is a capitalist in the worst meanings of that word. I cannot imagine that Trump has ever read the Constitution; he is a bully on wheels and it is amazing that anyone perceives him as a solution to anything. Cruz is at least a constitutional lawyer; he has taken principled stands. The liberals hate him worse than death which tells you all you need to know. The media loves the Trump show as a fantastic smoke screen over the serious failings of the last 8 years; even the media believes Trump, in the end, is the only chance the Democrats have of seeing, God help us, Hillary Clinton's clutching fingers on the reins of Power. Trump is the Art of the Deal; and it's no conspiracy theory that he has made his deal with the powers that be to engage in this dog and pony show; either way, expect nothing but the continued demise of the Republic helmed by, God help us, Donald Trump.

Flawlessly logical.

Self-described "Conservatives" have not lived up to the name for decades. By their lies and inaction against Obama and his communist agenda, they have shown themselves to be unworthy of my votes. They have brought Trump upon themselves.

Trump is like Obama campaigning. No substance however a cult following. People are flocking to him for the same reasons they flocked to Obama. They think they don't have any other choice and he is the savior. Same for Sanders.
