Finicum Shooter Protection Bill Points to Wider Issue of Government Distrust

“State Rep. Jeff Barker has introduced a bill that would temporarily delay the release of the name of the officer who shot [LaVoy] Finicum,” KOIN 6 News reported Sunday. “House Bill 4087 already unanimously passed the Oregon House Judiciary Committee.” The bill, which will allow law enforcement to petition a judge for a 90-day stay on releasing the name of an officer, was introduced after the Oregon State Police said it had “received death threats from all over the U.S.” Barker, a Democrat, said he took the action after being convinced by OSP Superintendent Rich Evans that ‘there is a real safety concern.”

If the names of police officers are now going to be kept "secret" we have now entered a new phase in the slide towards a bananna republic.

If an individual officer does not want to be afraid of the public, maybe he ought to rethink how he does his job.

I too picked up on the point that the name of the officer who shot Mike Brown was plastered all over the media.....while this shooter's name will be kept SECRET?

Damn all the GI Joe cops....who never have any accountability.

This abuse is not going to go on forever.

This will only last so long. if the public is denied the names of those who kill us, then maybe any old Federal Agent in any old town will do.

I'm not familiar with Oregon law, but why do they have to pass a law to "petition" a judge?? Theater/Smoke/Mirrors for the great unwashed masses.

Instead of publishing the shooter(s) names, publish the names and addresses of every Oregon State Rep/Senator that created and voted for this Bull$hit law. Shine the light on those roaches right now; if they start receiving threats, I'd bet they'd throw their brothers in blue/grey/tan, and OD under the next bus. The shooters names will come out later.

I won't believe anything from these vermin until several "uncut/unedited" videos are released that showing this incident (from several angles) with full AUDIO! The crap that the Feds released to the publis is just that, CRAP.

Really a smart move, someone from Maine or Nova Scotia might drive out and do one of them. Murder has always been illegal and I think making threats might be now. I am speaking of terroistic threats.

Senate panel votes to declare Obama executive action on guns unenforceable

PHOENIX — A Senate panel voted to declare Tuesday that the latest executive action on guns taken by President Obama is not enforceable in Arizona.

The Senate Committee on Federalism, Mandates and Fiscal Responsibility voted to declare that presidential actions that are inconsistent with federal and state constitution is unlawful "and is not recognized by the state.''

No matter what side you are on, if the government has to hide the trigger puller, then there is no legitimacy for the state to take a man's life. Other methods could have been used. It is not a clean shoot. And if a precedence is set, then no one is held accountable. Ever.

Not a good precedent. Shooter's name not being public will lead to theories of secret assassination squads. Unknown if Mr. Finicum was insured by 100 Heads Mutual Life.

I think i remember posting about infiltrators in the circus act "militia" at Burns Oregon...well " i told you so"..the Mark McConnell was one, among many i suspect. This is exactly why the militias and patriots are screwed if they let ideology cloud reason and avoid people who have common sense as to how warfighting is being done today.

I didnt have to be on the ground to spot the implanted FED goons. When actions and personalities dont match up to the agenda, you got a huge problem if you dont treat outsiders with extreme caution when the majically just show up and take over. Beats need to eat too, feed them commie agents. As i have said numerous times before theses goon have no moral compunctions killing you and your families for their GS12 and above, pay and are loyal only to their masters Just saying.. you know not what you are dealing with because you don't can't or won't understand the psyche of the FEDs trying to murder you, such is the blind spot you ignorant patriots and true believers have, and exploited for.

Federal Judge: Cliven Bundy Must Remain in Jail – He is “Lawless and Violent”

It's interesting, isn't it? Not one shot was fired by Cliven Bundy, his family or peaceful protestors, some of whom were armed during the 2014 Bundy Ranch siege by the Bureau of Land Management. Not one shot was fired by the Bundys or any of the people who took over the Oregon Wildlife Refuge either. The only people that we know of who have acted unlawfully and violent have been the DC government and those tied to it. It was those who work for the state that fired on an unarmed LaVoy Finicum, murdering him in cold blood, and then sought to kill the other passengers in his vehicle who never fired a shot. Yet, a federal judge has said following Cliven Bundy's arrest in Oregon last week, the Mr. Bundy must remain behind bars because he is "lawless and violent."

If a police agency is getting death threats, let's call it getting a clue that your methods of goading people and then shooting them are unacceptable.

In the days of my youth, citizens of this country had an implicit trust in the word of the US Government. Native Americans knew better, but the rest of us still had a few things to learn.

Then came the Gulf of Tonkin incident, Watergate, Fast and Furious, the Lois Lerner IRS affair, and a long list of others where not only did we catch our government lying to us, it also became apparent that they didn't care if they were caught lying.

Now we are living in an era where the US Government, and the Government of the Russian Federation have both bombed hospitals operated by "Doctors Without Borders" and both governments have initially lied about their involvement.

So we are at the point where it's obvious from their own actions that our own government is at best no more trustworthy that that of Vladimir Putin. And to rub salt in the wounds, Federal, State and local governments across this land are coming up with more and more ways that they propose to hide what they actually do from the American People.

Fool me once, shame on you!
Fool me twice, shame on me!

Mandate of heaven? We don't need no steenkin' mandate of heaven!
