Ridiculous.

California Lawmakers Introduce Law That Would Force Manufacturers to Paint Toy Guns Bright Colors
You know, when he was the tender age of 5 I gave my son Matt a US Army full size Kalashnikov training aid made entirely of black rubber. I painted it to look even more real. I guess that would be enough to get a five-year old shot in California these days.

I guess this is a chicken-or-egg question. Which came first? The lack of common sense which led to the laws? Or the laws, which squeezed out the common sense?
Too many people are more involved with and concerned about the LETTER of the law, instead of the SPIRIT of the law.

Could then paint the REAL ones to look like the toys.

Sort of like cammo.

"Is that pink gun a toy ... or ????"

Unintended consequences.

So the thugs will now paint their real guns the requisite government color for toys in an effort to fool their victims into thinking the guns they use for the next holdup is just a toy-until the clerk is shot.

Yep, the color thing is really gonna work. So what about the innocent little 10yo girl with a 10-22 that daddy painted pink for her? Will THAT now become illegal?

These gubmint dofusses are only good at one thing-fouling the works and making things worse...what more proof does the average man need??

Now all we need is a law requiring politicians to wear clown suits.
