I'm glad he was allowed to take leave and that he made the trip safely. From the bride's maiden name I take it she is Matt's half-sister (clearly only biologically). Family is important, Dutchman. Many of us out here in cyberspace consider YOU to be kin.

Hope you get to spend a few days with Matt and that grandbaby of yours. Grandkids are damned near the only perk of getting old that half-way makes it all worth it.

Hang in.

Damn fine Man you blessed us with there, Mike.

You must be proud - and have good reason to be!

As to the young lady, I assume she's Matthew's "half-sister"?

I can't say how pleased I am that he could make it back to the states for the event and that he is well. I am sure that you are proud of all, congratulations to all.

No OWS disruptors at the wedding apparently; you must have been good at keeping this joyous occasion a secret! And your daughter's brother is a good looking fellow and he looks strong and tough like his Dad! Congratulations on a big day indeed and we wish the new couple well and hope they produce a small army of new American Patriots. And may the Creator God keep your son safe while he's on duty for US!

The bride is Matthew's half-sister on his mother's side. I wasn't invited. No mystery there. Will be seeing Matt sometime tomorrow.

that was sweet! Someteims I feel like maybe I'm intruding a bit when I post, so i stopped emailing any notes and generally don't post any more but this was a special moment and I had to say something. A fine looking young man.

I'm happy that you're going to have some time to be with your son. We spend a good portion of their lives preparing them the best way we know how to exist in an adult world. And then we spend the rest of our lives wishing they weren't so far away.
Enjoy and take care,
[W3]
