For idahobob: You mean like these guys: http://www.betaco.com/products.asp?rid=18 ??? Not sure which blog I got that from a couple of days ago. Believe it was in one of the comments, but I can't find it now so I'm not able to credit the source. Sure looks interesting, though. Especially if you can make the Bad Guys think you only have 20 rounds...
And even better yet, combine the two! Might be a pleasant little surprise for any late night hooded breakins.
Although I STILL prefer the mountain howitzer as the best way to deal with those bastards. 12 pounds of 1/2" steel balls should be impressive at that range.
There is a reason why the military dropped the use of 50 and 100 round drums for the 1928 Thompson SMG. They are too heavy and cumbersome, and when they're empty, you drop and leave them. Also, they take too long to reload. Do yourself a favor and forget this Rambo shit, stick to 20 and 30 round mags. They work!
For Semper Fi, 0321: If you're on the move, you ARE correct. However, for home defense against masked, armed, and armored intruders, they make a lot of sense. The time it takes to drop a magazine and stuff in a new one may make a significant difference in the number of them one can take out before being murdered.
Now if they only made that damn bump stock for the M1A...
Anonymous Semper Fi, 0321 I think we have been trying to get ahold of each other another site (CM?). Been trying to find you else where online. My e-mail is prissy_tom_boy@yahoo.com hope this is you I am looking for

And now, hopefully, someone will come up with the 100 rd drum for the AR10 and M14.
