Arthur Herbert, shown here, is celebrating the successful subversion of the will of Congress with the Multiple Rifle Sales Reporting Diktat with his fellow conspirator in ATF scandals large and small, ex-CCO attorney Teresa Ficaretta.
Just received this over the electronic transom here at Sipsey Street. This email is said to have been generated by Teresa Ficaretta and it references Arthur Herbert. Redactions have been made to protect sources.

Subject: Rifle Multiple Sale Reporting Program Celebration
Please join us on Wednesday, August 31, at 9:30 a.m., in Conference Room B to celebrate the successful completion of the rifle multiple sale reporting program. Collaboration among many directorates made this program possible, and REDACTED and I want to recognize and thank all the employees who contributed to our success.
This celebration will be held in connection with our EPS supervisors meeting to be held in the same room beginning at 10am. Please forward this invitation to all the remaining EPS supervisors in Martinsburg. I initially tried to list all their names, but I know I will leave some of the section supervisors out, and our celebration would not be complete without them. (REDACTED) and I look forward to seeing you all in Martinsburg.
The staffs of both Senator Grassley and Congressman Issa have been advised of this outrage. As a long-time ATF street agent told me:
"(This is a) planned celebration on gov't time and in gov't building. I have NEVER seen such a blatant partisan action as this in my entire time in the government."
He goes on to say, "Celebrating blatantly circumventing congressional intent and law and then rather than just enforcing it, we are actually celebrating pro or anti guns policies? I AM PISSED."
This agent has every right to be. So too does the House of Representatives. These guys just figuratively jumped up on the desks of the GOP Representatives and Senators and took a huge dump. No wonder they're happy about it.
If they get away it, that is.

The only reason there could be this much glee in the officials minds is that the next step will be a nationwide ban because four states will not work as well as they want. Our government is at war with its citizens, whether it knows it or not.
Certainly we have learned by now that the law and the Constitutional rights of the American people mean NOTHING to the Obama Regime. The question is, will Republicans DO anything about it...like holding these people in contempt of congress, for example. Or telling gun store owners to IGNORE this illegal reporting requirement?
Teresa must be that slightly dykey looking one on the far right....
S
crew 'em all. May they refresh the roots of the Liberty Tree.
Do I need to RSVP for this event, or can I just show up?

"The gall of this agency, this Department of "Justice" and this filthy traitorous administration. They continue to push it in our faces because they think we are weak. They believe we will do nothing. They believe they are above the law and untouchable."

And why do they DO it? 'Cause they CAN, friends, 'cause they can.
Nothing could better demonstrate the current administrations's utter and total CONTEMPT for the rule of law than this little sioree.
Now, what does this tell you about how "afraid" they are of Congress?
Ah, otterhauser, what, exactly, do you SUGGEST the GOP do about this? Contempt of Congress? For real?? While they have on numerous occasions DEMONSTRATED their utter contempt for the rule of law and of Congress, what have they done for which you believe they might be held in contempt? According to everyone's favorite free online encyclopedia, "Contempt of Congress is the act of obstructing the work of the United States Congress or one of its committees. Historically the bribery of a senator or representative was considered contempt of Congress. In modern times, contempt of Congress has generally applied to the refusal to comply with a subpoena issued by a Congressional committee or subcommittee — usually seeking to compel either testimony or the production of documents." See anything in there that even remotely resembles what the ATF did? Me, neither.

Understand that it isn't just this administration. It now appears to be the entire federal government. There isn't one agency I can think of that isn't attacking citizens somewhere without true cause. This will continue and it will get worse.
Anonymous 11:49, we Southrons have known that the US government is at war with the citizenry for 150 years.
We're not "its" citizens, we are citizens.
"They continue to push it in our faces because they think we are weak. They believe we will do nothing. They believe they are above the law and untouchable."
So far they are batting 1000.
Congress is now irrelevant - by Executive Order!
Guess Issa is striking some fatal blows. The anti-American media strikes back. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/08/27/issa-goes-to-war-with-new-york-times-over-false-story/
That would be a great time for congress to authorize some arrests. Who would do the arresting? Us marshalls? Congress critters have their own police force?
This comes as no surprise, It's been obvious from the get-go that the DoJ and its bootlickers in the ATF's administration have no respect for the members of congress, US citizens, OR the Constitution.

... and they have the nerve & temerity to make the announcement standing in front of a flag bedeck'd banner celebrating America!
So much arrogant hubris! Working their way to becoming the Waffen SS for America's illegitimate regime.
Perhaps one day in the future collecting ATF memorabilia will be akin to collecting the Nazi war memorabilia we often see at local fun shows and on ebay... relics of a defunct and defeated enemy relegated to histories dustbin.
May the Liberty Tree drink from a rivers run of traitors blood and spread its hardy leaves so patriot's children find shelter in the shade.
Mike,
