If he had a brain, he'd be dangerous. Not a peep from him about the ATFs' felonious activities in Mexico, and the US. Selectivly deaf, and intentionally stupid.Betraying your country must be lucrative work. So many like him are doing it.
Yes we do have the right to keep and bear arms. We also have the right to live WITHOUT the BS from weak kneed types like Lingel who just DON'T GET IT!su
"At least once every human should have to run for his life, to teach him that milk does not come from supermarkets, that safety does not come from policemen, that 'news' is not something that happens to other people. He might learn how his ancestors lived and that he himself is no different--in the crunch his life depends on his agility, alertness, and personal resourcefulness." — Robert A. Heinlein
Anytime somebody puts a "but" right after they say something good, you KNOW you're not gonna like what comes next. The "but" utterly inverts what they just said. The semicolon in Lengel's title serves the same purpose.
A true statement would be "We have a Right to Bear Arms because we have a Right to Live." RKBA is predicated upon the right to life - aka one of those pesky unalienable rights those loony old founders believed that we acquire at birth.
I was unaware that Mr. Lengel was a comedian. And that he hated the BATFE and the FBI so much. He as much blamed the U.S. government for all of this cartel violence - we all know where those thousands of firearms came from, the U.S. government, through the auspices of the BATFE.

"Sure, we as Americans have a right to bear arms. But we as Americans have a right to live..."
Translation: your rights are forfeit if abused by someone other than yourself. ;^)

I want to kick this man's teeth in. If you can communicate that to him on my behalf, I'd appreciate it.
Please don't ever provide a link to him or his blog again.
Blackstone reasoned that if you deprive someone of the means to defend their life you in essence deprive them of life itself.
Lengel believes that some if not most of us should leave all of that messy stuff up to "the only ones"
Right!
I'll stick with Blackstone.
We don't have a right to live, we have a right to live free.
