Doug Rink: "Armor of Light" just another stab at anti-gun indoctrination.

"The anti-gun lobby is trying to make the most of Abigail Disney's (Walt's grandniece) anti-gun documentary that tries to make the most of the premise that there's a contradiction between being an evangelical Christian who is anti-abortion and being pro-gun."
Disney's effort is not unlike propaganda of the late 1930s that sought to indoctrinate a viewpoint that it was immoral for Christians and Christian nations to arm in opposition to the rising Nazi or Japanese war machines. For those unfamiliar with the isolationist, anti-war propaganda of the 1930s, I recommend viewing Peace on Earth, an MGM cartoon from 1939 (As of this writing, Peace on Earth is available for viewing on YouTube). Would the world be a better place had Americans never "gunned up" and opposed conquests by Germany and Japan? For that matter, what would America be like today had America's Christian colonists followed the decrees of the king, been acquiescent to tyranny, and allowed British soldiers to disarm them before a revolution could take shape?
For a better understanding of the Biblical basis of Christian self defense, read Greg Hopkins' A Time To Kill. And for those of you in the Birmingham area, I am informed that Greg will be delivering a talk at Hoover Tactical Firearms on Thursday, 12 November at 6 PM. I'm sure he will have extra copies of his book to autograph and sell at that time.

Blow Up Between Senator And Gun Control Father Of TV Reported Killed By Black Gay Activist Leads To Apology, Police Report…

An internet row between the father of a fatally shot TV reporter and a Virginia lawmaker escalated all the way to the governor’s office and capitol police.

Throughout October, gun control advocate Andy Parker, father of slain WDBJ reporter Alison Parker, was a frequent heckler on a Facebook page maintained by pro-gun state Sen. William M. Stanley Jr., R-Franklin County, commenting critically on virtually every post. This escalated until Tuesday when Parker wrote, “I’m going to be your worst nightmare you little bastard,” and another that read, “When you see me again, you best walk the other way lest I beat your little ass with my bare hands.”

This body of messages led Stanley to contact the Capitol Police and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday and make a report. He also sought an application for a concealed handgun permit.

“I take this very seriously as a threat against the safety of my family,” Stanley told the Washington Post.

News of the report brought quick condemnation from anti-gun groups, more Facebook sparring from Parker who called Stanley’s complaint “mind-boggling” and calls from Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat who has repeatedly backed harsh gun control initiatives, for Stanley to toughen up.

“Come on, Bill, you’re tougher than that,” McAuliffe said during a radio appearance on Richmond’s WRVA on Thursday. “Man up. Come on. This is ridiculous.”

McAuliffe concluded that Stanley was taking Parker’s comments and playing them up for a political stunt on an end-run into next Tuesday’s elections where he is facing a challenge from Democrat Michael L. Hamlar, who holds an F rating on gun issues, the lowest possible, from the National Rifle Association.

I mistakenly responded to the first poster and said the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Re-read and realized that the son was not the shooter in the case where the TV reporter and cameraman were shot, but that the father making the threats was the father of the reporter.

Duh....no excuse, I just screwed up.

It's not really very odd that a man with such violent thoughts believes guns should be tightly regulated. He clearly can't contain his own violent thoughts and therefore believes no one else can either.

Congress critters from [D]Ct. Historicaly rate an F- .Can it be they are all anti American collectivists ? Every Fricken one of them! Last was [R] Senator Lowell [Maverick]Weicker. Was a rabid silver spooned collectivist. As Gov.[I] "We the People " received the first so called assault ban. Plus a repugnant state income tax. [D] Red KGB Sodomite Mike Lawlor spent 2 summers as his page in the 'District of Criminals". What's that saying about birds of a feather ?

I like the blatant hypocrisy of anti-gunners attacking the filing of a police report while ignoring the application for a concealed carry permit. After all, isn't calling the cops the only form of self defense they think people should have?

Or is McAuliffe seriously suggesting that public figures should settle their disputes with street brawls? I personally would love to see that, for a while (seeing McAuliffe take a few in his pie-hole would be very satisfying), but on a long-term basis it is not a sustainable basis for a civil society. After all, most fist-fights aren't very fair, usually the much stronger disputant starts one because he (almost always a he, let us be honest) is in the wrong, and thus the bad guy usually wins. There is a reason that the development of freedom has been contingent on advances in weapons technology which allows those committed to a peaceful existence to have a chance of defending themselves against those who choose to live by violent plunder.

Thanks for adding to my reading list, Mike. I would also recommend Timothy Baldwin's book Romans 13: The True Meaning of Submission (co-written with his father Chuck Baldwin) for a closer look at the Biblical source for much of this controvery, especially as it involves Christian teachings regarding duty toward government.

Three Percenters would also do well to seek out one of Chuck Baldwin's Black Regiment Pastors for Church service from a Christian patriot (list by state is HERE).

"God created men, Colonel Colt made them equal"

In 1867, Sam Colt's widow, Elizabeth, had an Episcopal church designed by Edward Tuckerman Potter built as a memorial to Samuel Colt and the three children they lost. The church's architecture contains guns and gun-smithing tools sculpted in marble to commemorate Colt's life as an arms maker. In 1896 a parish house was built on the site as a memorial to their son, Caldwell who died in 1894. In 1975 the Church of the Good Shepherd and Parish House was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Just another fine historical example of intermingling of Guns and Religious conservatism.

I am hoping that the readers of this blog will look past the war of words between Parker, Stanley, and McAuliffe and instead read the Hopkins book that is mentioned by MVB. It is well worth the time it takes and the hour is approaching when those words will be a comfort to you. His words come from the Scripture. I have a well-published Professor of Theology in my immediate family and he has been unable to refute the conclusions drawn by Hopkins.

There's a big difference between "thou shall not kill" and "Thou shall not MURDER". Taking innocent life that is not threatening you is murder. Defending ones self when being attacked may be killing, but is justified...Also, Jesus allowed Himself to be killed because He knew it was His destiny as the sacrifice for making a new testament with the Father. Any christian who is going to mistakenly compare their actions of non-violence with what Jesus did is not only mistaken but is bordering on blasphemy. And lastly, I'm sure many Jews waited for God's help right up to the moment they were dispatched. I'm not waiting that long! The weapon in my hand at the time IS God's help. How much more help do I want from Him? To be transported out of there like Capt. Kirk? It's our duty to stand against evil. A maxim of law is:" If you don't object, then you must agree". .. The entire Disney corporation has been being used to usher in everything from homosexual sex to occult worship. Anyone associated with Disney should be suspect as a purveyor of globalist propaganda and should be treated as such. If I want a lesson in true Christianity I'll go to Chuck Baldwin's site. If I want to be indoctrinated I'll go to Disney's..

Really?! McAuliffe, a Democrat...aka the party of rampant faggotry, is telling a man to "man up"?
Isn't the Dems definition of a "man" someone who dresses in lingerie chanting "We're here, we're queer, get use to it"?
