This is so similar to our last presidential election, which is why its to late for the republic, only individuals can be saved by God and courage against corruption and tyranny, it is way to late to work within the system. A quote by Leif Enger seems appropriate for the days we live in.
"We and the world, my children, will always be at war. Retreat is impossible. Arm yourselves"
A Texan came across a weeping young boy sitting on a curb in San Antonio.
"What's wrong Johnny?", he inquired.
Johnny replied: "My daddy didn't come to see me!"
The Texan replied: "Johnny, you know your daddy's been dead for two years now. How could he come see you?"
"I don't know", replied Johnny, "But he came back to vote for Lyndon Johnson!"
If we must have e-voting machines at all, they should be based on easily auditable open-source code - not proprietary software, and they should provide a human-readable printout which is then optically scanned to count votes so that we have an easily-read audit trail that can be used for verifiable recounts.

Pretty soon you'll have to scan your forehead or your right hand to "vote".
I HATE e-voting....

Sounds like the prelude to Athens, 1946.
