Here's an interesting new report by lurkers from the Anti-Defamation League entitled "Violent Voices: Anti-Government Extremism Takes on New Intensity".
Not bad. It was only 26 stories when the link was sent (5:38 PM ET). Up to 36 by midnight, and now at 42. Remember, these are only the stories google linked to. There are probably many times that on servers that have copies of these, not to mention all the YouTube snippets that will be posted.
The right to open-carry in national parks recognized as your God-given right, and the unconstitutional prohibition against doing so halted....both brought to you by the Obama Administration.
Just saw my rear-end on the Rachel Maddow Show. First time I've tuned-in. Likely the last too.
I've lost count of how many times she's mentioned that the rallies took place on the anniversary of the OKC bombing. Not once has she acknowledged that 19 April is also the day on which the battles of Lexington and Concord were fought.
And not a shot fired! Amazing, if you listen to the lame-stream media. Also, I heard from some "friends" that armed protesters were roaming the National Mall. Funny, but I didn't think any or them crossed the Potomac on Monday.
Mike--it was nice to finally meet you in person. You did a great job with the interviews. FYI, I lay awake much of the night trying to figure out why I was at the event. Yes, I am "on your side", but I wonder if there isn't a second tier that we aren't missing from the equation. I agree that all three branches of govt are way beyond their legal limits as defined in the constitution. However, what if God has allowed these people to be in power to intentionally teach us some truths. If so, then aren't we kind of "going against God's annointed" to paraphrase David's opinion of Saul and why David saved Saul's life on a few occasions? Besides reminding the govt that they have legal limits that that must abide by, shouldn't we also be repenting of our own sin (Christian's sin) by not being the salt (example) that we're supposed to be? Since we're in sin and not being the models that we should be, the rest of America has exploded in their idolotry and such. If this is true, then we should be repenting and following the 2 Chronicles 7:14 example. To summarize, I wonder if tier 1 is to remind the govt of their limits (via a show of force as shown on 4/19), but tier 2 is that we need to repent of our sin and be the vehicles from which the rest of America will experience God.
If we are doing more than just reminding the govt of their infractions, then isn't it ironic that we're actually fighting the very outcome that our (poorly lived) collective Christian lives have brought about to begin with?
This was a 3 AM thought that begs for a third leg but I haven't seen it yet. I'd appreciate yours and others' thoughts.
I'll leave an identity later if need be--too busy now to create one with 5 kids and little time.
......and it was good to see/meet you. Your "scribbling" is uncommonly helpful.
Never mind on the amateurish part--that was the opinion I gathered the other day when I read it on my PDA when tired (from the rally). it doesn't appear overbearing now. thanks.

I was actually worried that there would be 'an incident' engendered by a plant or an outsider.
I'm breathing much easier now. It looks like the ball will not drop for awhile...
Hm. Check that out. The title of the first link:
"Gun activists rallly in US capital"
Looks like somebody at CBC can't proofread. Either that, or he put the III in there on purpose.
I thought we were everywhere already

Unfortunately, the media seemed to miss the point. The headlines would lead you to believe this was a gun-rights rally, part of the 2A march.
It wasn't a rally to protect the 2A, it was a rally to show that the 2A is still there to protect the rest.
The "Restore the Constitution" message is lost in the noise
Unmitigated success. But who is this clotty-headed bint Martina Leinz?

They fixed the typo. And it's not the first article anymore.
Hey
Speaking of everywhere I've been seeing your name across the media spectrum.
Think your new handle oughta be "Hollywood."

BTW Frnak, it's spellled maroonz.
Hey Frank C.: Go back to your PS3 and leave the Constitution to the adults.

The Rachel Maddow Show will be re-broadcast on MSNBC tonight at 2300 EDT. Several of you will probably see yourself too.
This story was on the evening news. It looks like California continues to go to the dogs.

Isn't is also interesting that Maddow lives in Massachusetts, where Patriots' Day (19 April) is a legal holiday?
