Ukrainians demand gun rights as Venezuelans remain silent on issue

In the wake of public unrest where the government used deadly force against protestors, the Ukrainian Gun Owners Association has proposed an amendment to the nation’s constitution, Townhall.com News Editor Katie Pavlich reported Monday. "Everyone has the right to freedom of owning a firearm to protect their life and health, housing and property, life and health of other people's constitutional rights and freedoms in the case of usurpation of power, the encroachments on the constitutional order, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the proposed amendment reads. “Exercising the right to free possession of firearms is governed by applicable law and may be limited only by the court on the individual."

That is what the Russians are worried about. Figured it would be something interesting.

Not how well gun rights would go over with the EU one-worlders, though.

An exception any self-respecting government could make hay with. Try not to be so submissive, folks.

The Second Amendment we have would work, only theirs might go...A free and independent people being necessary to the establishment and security of a free state, the right of the people to keep, bear in public and private,to buy, sell, or trade, guns and ammunition, and all accessories thereto, shall not be restricted or in any manner, regulated, by any government.Punishment for government or any other violation of this amendment shall be executed as local or other law may direct, as effected by the people. No person in this nation may be at any time or place, be exempt from this law. Persons who may not keep and bear arms, such as the mentally ill,or incompetents, minors, criminals so designated as to be continuing threats to others, anyone not legally present in this country, and other foreigners so designated, alcoholics and other drug addicts so designated in a court of law, shall be both disarmed and remain so, until such time as a court may redirect otherwise.
