Situational awareness is critical, not just because of street corner thugs, but government thugs. The endless pumping of money into the stock market, to create the illusion of recovery, is not sustainable. At some point this bubble has got to break. Wide awake people, insiders and the praetorian guard know this. It is my belief that government thugs have long prepared for a preemptive round up of dissidents and others they have labeled as a threat. We may not know the exact date of the commencement of hostilities, but situational awareness, should give us a heads-up. Is the exact same plane over your house, day after day? Are you followed when going about your daily activities? Is your snail mail opened before it gets to you? Anyone new, trying to get in close? Do you have a neighbor, like the guy up the hill from me, who spies on you for the scum buckets? Any increase in known activities MAY be your heads-up. Situational awareness is critical!
It's their choice if they want to be oblivious while out walking in the world and fall in a hole, get taken by a predator or whatever. But I draw the line when it endangers others- I see them DRIVING while texting or otherwise stareing at the screen...
It was bad enough when all you could do was talk on a phone. When I drove big rigs, I don't know how many times I saw a person merging into traffic from on ramps with the phone glued to their left ear, cutting out peripheral vision and distracting them from checking to see if there was even an opening in the traffic they were veering into...
The terminally unaware used to just get eaten by saber tooth tigers, improving the species and filling a necessary roll in the web of life... Now they can and do take others with them.
I had never seen electronically connected sheeple like that clueless before. I wonder if they baa in unison?
I remember reading about an assassination pistol that looks identical a cell phone, with a small antenna. 4 shot .22 LR. Buttons beep, lights come on during casual examination.
Made by communist Yugoslavian secret service, so not available at retail. Too bad.

A mandatory 5 day waiting period (for i-phones) should be implemented immediately.
If it saves just one life t will be worth it.
I personally don't use cell phones, but getting Domino to give up her "Angry Catz" app is going to be a bit of a struggle...

Situational awareness is to be aware of the changes in small things.
