"The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
The Second Amendment is (arguably) the clearest part of the entire Constitution, let alone the Bill of Rights, or the Declaration of Independence, or the Federalist Papers, or any other of the founding documents...
Well, let's be reasonable about background checks. Sometimes they work. The other night I went to one of our many local drug dealers and suppliers of fine merchandise and told him I needed a Glock. He said, "Whoa, man, I gots ta do a background check on you first." "What? I get stuff from you all the time, man, you know me. Hey, got a light? My crack pipe went out." "Yeah, here's a light, but the law is the law. Here's yo background check, Are you related to Benjamin Franklin?" "Why, yes; in fact, I have five small portraits of him in my pocket right here." "Yo, you passed. Here yo Glock. It don't got no serial numbers or nuthin, just the way you like 'em." See? If he hadn't done that background check, there's no telling what kind of trouble I might have gotten into!
No, they've had enough cake. They don't get to lick the icing either.
Bloomberg has committed a fortune to stripping away gun rights. There is no reason on earth to trust him. Cloaking intentions in rhetoric and misleading arguments is still lying about the intentions.
I hate communists. Especially the ones who try to persuade me I won't need my AK-47 while they're busy reloading their own.

I cannot believe anything potentially positive about firearms that comes from Bloomberg or his minions.
Our rights are not subject to negotiation.

They have some OUTSTANDING comments on that article. Most impressive!
Yeah, Bloomie - We keep the guns and send you the projectiles!
Sounds a fair "Grand Bargain" to me ...
