Not quite so. While Texas embodies some traits of the 'small gov, economic opportunity' model it harbors too many Rs with expansive visions of overarching gov. Too much crony crap, too many special deals that benefit one or a handful of corporate buddies, too much regulation and an arcane and abusive 'margin tax' scheme coupled with growing local tax burdens that will kill the goose. The absence of a personal income tax does not a lasting bastion of opportunity make. Nor is Texas a gun friendly as some suggest...cheers
