It's starting to smell like COINTELPRO. Extortionist Kerodin elevates himself to Robespierre of America with his own fantasies of "The Day of the Rope."

COINTELPRO (an acronym for COunter INTELligence PROgram) was a series of covert, and at times illegal, projects conducted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) aimed at surveying, infiltrating, discrediting, and disrupting domestic political organizations. National Security Agency operation Project MINARET targeted the personal communications of leading Americans, including Senators Frank Church and Howard Baker, civil rights leaders, including Dr. Martin Luther King, journalists and athletes who criticized the Vietnam War.
The FBI has used covert operations against domestic political groups since its inception; however, covert operations under the official COINTELPRO label took place between 1956 and 1971. COINTELPRO tactics are still used to this day, and have been alleged to include discrediting targets through psychological warfare; smearing individuals and groups using forged documents and by planting false reports in the media; harassment; wrongful imprisonment; and illegal violence, including assassination. The FBI's stated motivation was "protecting national security, preventing violence, and maintaining the existing social and political order." -- Wikipedia.
It's starting to smell like COINTELPRO over in the Kerodin Klepto Kingdom. Fresh from his unhinged rant against yours truly, Kerodin is already planning to kill everyone he estimates is an enemy of the people: "Tree, Noose, Bolshevik – Some Assembly Required."
Sadly and ironically, this neo-collectivist masturbatory fantasy is heartily seconded by Pete of WRSA who seems to have forgotten what it is we fight for. It is ironic because of who Pete is (or perhaps, was) and the job he does every day. Not much doubt that Kerodin has fantasies of hanging me with the III-trademarked rope he is selling. (Don't copy it, or he'll sue you using the federal laws he purports to despise -- unless of course you pay him.) I guess Pete will be in the cheap seats cheering him on. This is remarkably reminiscent of that other collectivist fantasy, The Turner Diaries, where Wee Willie Pierce imagined "The Day of the Rope," when -- after using them to obtain victory -- the neo-Nazis summarily hang all enemies of their new Aryan American Empire, including their former "conservative" allies who merely wanted the Constitution restored. Presumably this will include in Kerodin's iteration all of you who have the ideological error of reading and agreeing with this blog.
But of course Wee Willie Pierce is long dead, and Kerodin is well on the way to discrediting himself. (Indeed, the timeline of Kerodin's semi-breakdown at my quip and his sale of nooses could make excellent fodder for a psychoanalyst studying inadequacies and compensation.) This Robespierre-wannabe fantasy business is all canned bullshit designed for those who are unwary enough to open the can and get sprayed with the pressurized contents. The only question is, who did the canning? And why? In whose service?

It is a valid question.

This character has smelled like an AP to me for sometime.

Any thinking individual understands that sites such as his, yours and WRS are closely monitored for unlawful activity. I don't think it is too far a stretch to posit that .gov actors could be making a list of all who buy nooses with the III logo on them and then connecting the buyer to his words of scorn aimed at .gov. and thereby labeling him a domestic terrorist. Easy-peasey.

Why don't we all simply IGNORE Kerodin? That will deprive him of some publicity, because he certainly doesn't deserve any. I don't see the point of ever mentioning his name on this blog.

Oh boy... Now you've done it. With all of the squealing yesterday from the Sensitive Sallys about your quip on Kerodin, I can only imagine how distraught they will all be this morning! Not to mention Kerodin should be in a full-on, foam-faced, drool-fest of a seizure right now. Ha ha... bunch'a pansies.

"Not much doubt that Kerodin has fantasies of hanging me with the III-trademarked rope he is selling." Why would he have fantasies of hanging you, your a "former" commie, right? As far as your characterization of Pete, you should be ashamed of yourself, you've let your hatred of Kerodin, cloud your judgment of a good man, and ardent patriot. As far as the comparison to William Pierce is concerned, comparing Kerodin to a hardcore racist, is like comparing you to Hitler because you advocated breaking windows with bricks, Kristallnacht anyone? Just because you advocated breaking windows, has nothing to do with you endorsing Adolf Hitler, just like Kerodin taking about hanging communists, has nothing to do with the "Day of the rope" scene in the Turner Diaries.

Old Greybeard-- As much as I agree with your sentiment, we simply can't ignore K. He forced us into this position by branching off from SS and taking the III logos and such with him. He rebranded III according to how he wanted it to be rather than support the original ideals behind it.

Had he come up with his own logos and such which clearly differentiated his group from the original III then we could easily ignore him. Personally, I think it would have been better had he formed his group around the concept of Sons of Liberty or Minutemen instead of III. Unfortunately, he didn't have that much foresight and his group of III looks very similiar to those found on Sipsey Street.

You and I know these two groups are very different and separate from each other, but the media will consider them to be the same because they share identical symbolism of the III.

If K falls in a very shameful public way then we will need to have a documented history which proves we are not part of his group. Not only for the media, but for agents investigating those having III associations.

It's a shame K set himself up for this perpetual opposition from the original III, but that is a poor choice on his part. It's the same lack of foresight which resulted in his arrest for extortion and will likely be to blame for his next most-embarrassing moment in life.

I see on K's site(10/30) that he said he's driving south to MVB's for a face to face meeting....then the post was deleted an hour later.

Kerodin's newest post has him promising to visit you, me, and a couple of others.

His promised visits seem to be remarkably consistent with someone intent on violating 18 U.S.C section 2261A(a), the federal anti-stalking statute.

As I wrote on my blog, one can only wonder why a convicted felon has no fear of federal prosecution.

So, I suppose some of you have read that post. If you read the comments as well, you will see that a few of us try mightily to point out the many flaws, moral, strategic and tactical, of K's proposed reign of terror.

Of note as well would be the vociferous bloody minded shouting down, not to mention degradation, of anyone who fails to hail the noose.

I understand the frustration, anger, and the need for retribution, the desire for Justice upon those who have perpetrated the regime coup and seek to destroy our nation But my questions as to how to achieve these goals in a just and ordered way are met mostly with, well, see above.

Attempts to engage K in a rational discussion are met with his typical accusations of disingenuous and lame debate skills, which he then displays for all to see... except that most of the folks over there don't (want) to notice.

It's worth the time, however, to go read the comments of jessejames, who writes and thinks very well and who makes a valiant effort to make the case against K. How he maintains his even handed responses I am incapable of knowing, but they are among the best commentary I've ever read on many a blog. Might be worth a stand alone post here or inclusion in one.

When I tell people that Obama is intentionally trying to wreck the country, usually to looks of utter disbelief, I often end by asking, "If you were trying to wreck the joint, what would you do differently than Obama has done?"

As regards Kerodin, if you were an agent provocateur, mole, stooge, out to wreck the III/Patriot movement, what would you do differently?

It's either that or he really is just a narcissistic sociopath with delusions of grandeur... you know, just like that other guy trying to wreck the country.

Drill right down to the core and What we have is a battle over control of the III symbology. What will it end up being? The Betsy Ross flag, or the new swastika?

Cheap commercial gimmick?

Or a flag to rally around?

Personally, I think the noose thing is silly, but destined to discredit the movement.

Y'all wonder why we can't get any traction as a movement??? Gee I wonder why...

Fuck y'all. Some ate up assholes just can't let shit lay because somebody has a different view, contradicts them or just calls bullshit on something.

All I have to say about all this is that it's pretty hypocritical to expect people to forgive and forget your past indiscretions, while at the same time accusing someone else of being unable to change.

.06's points are compelling. For a Constitutional follower, the correct forum for differences is the court system. Instead, posts about face to face confrontations, ropes, etc. just make this man look just like a provocative agent (sorry, do not speak French). Should I trademark the Roman numeral X, and sell them to people who actively support the cause? Supporting and defending the Constitution is not a money making proposition for most of us.

Kerodin admitted in one of his recent posts that, if you and he were in the same 'trench' together, and, afterward, he decided you didn't fit in with his ideology, he would literally 'stick a knife in the back of your neck'.

Now, he's taken to begging for money. The III Citadel project being a long-forgotten pipe dream, he reaches out to the well-to-do for contributions.

Combined with his choice for spouse, Kerodin can be summed up in one word: DOUCHEBAG!

CrustyRusty-- Not hypocritical at all. Mike was a commie, K was an extortionist. Mike saw the light, changed his ways, and is working for our side now.

Has K seen the light? No. He admits the guilty plea and conviction happened, but believes HE was the victim who suffered injustice at the hands of the government! The fact is his extortion scheme preyed on post-9/11 fears back in 2003 when he was arrested, but he's still tapping into people's fear of government tyranny today.

Has K changed his ways? No. It's all about fast money to him. Big ideas = big money and numerous offerings = numerous streams of cash from customers and investors.

The whole idea of trademarking the III and putting it on various products was to generate money!

Is K helping the cause of liberty? Simply read the requirements occupants will need to meet in order to remain living in his citadel. That's not freedom!

If you believe Mike is being hypocritical then so be it, but don't try to convince us K has changed. His current behavior is no different from his past actions. If history repeats itself for those who don't learn from it then it is likely K's actions will experience another "injustice" at the hands of government.

K is simply too impulsive and ignorant to know when his actions and reactions could land him in jail. It's only a matter of time before that happens as Mike can't even make a one-line joke without K saying things which may very well violate the federal anti-stalking laws mentioned by Militialaw. That's definitely not the kind of a leader anyone should be following for any reason.

Exactly my point.

Ranting and raving about someone's past, claiming that they haven't changed, while expecting folks to ignore a history of fraud while attempting to raise money...

Pretty much.
