Burlington Councilor reveals goal is to end preemption in Vermont

In a candid admission that his goal is to provide a lead for other cities to follow, a key member of the Burlington council made it clear that he is intent on imposing citizen disarmament edicts on all Vermonters, the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs reported Friday.

It is interesting that at every level of civil and govt service, to include the military, how easily our employees have all forgotten that they serve us at our will and do not rule over us.
If the rightful and lawful owners of American don't demonstrate their lawful authority over their illegitimate and corrupt employees very soon they will have forfeited that ownership forever and our best hope will be to rest in good company for eternity.

I do not think Burlington will succeed with overturning our State preemption against anti-gun municipal laws. They violate our Constitution and Vermont legislators remember the hapless Peter Smith, the one term congress critter who voted for violating our rights. Burlington councilors have better things to do besides continuing the failed collectivist agenda.

Leave it to the Marxist Progressives to screw up a good thing. Vermont, the place my great-great-grandfather was born and thankfully left, has always had a tradition of concealed carry without the impediment of having to have a permit. As long as you were 21, never convicted of a felony and a citzen that was all it took. To go along with this unfettered carry privilege Vermont had the lowest incidents of crime in the US. Consistantly. So I guess if a politician says he wanted to do away with the carry privilege then he could and should rightly be considered pro-crime.

"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." ~ Daniel Webster
