About that family time I took yesterday . . .

Drove to Hattiesburg for Zoe's Senior Day soccer game and festivities. It was the last game of the year for Zoe, who has been on the team for four years now. She will graduate in the spring, and she teared up as we escorted her onto the field after the game. Memories. I'll post a photo here when I get it later today.

It's always a little strange for me when you mention Zoe, but I totally get where you're at with soaking up all of her "lasts". I also have a daughter named Zoe who is a senior this year. Small world.

Wonder of wonders. Isn't it amazing that those tiny squirmy creatures entrusted to us manage not only to survive, but to thrive?

They turn into pretty amazing people if we do our jobs well and stay blessed and lucky. Our eldest daughter turned 22 yesterday.

I still remember being absolutely stunned when we finally met. It's the only time my wife has seen me speechless.

You are both lucky & blessed. I hope the next stages of her life are also full of wonder.

May God continue to bless you all.

Amen.

PS-I hope they won their game!

Our kids become so intertwined in our lives as seasons pass. It's God's gift of creation to us. No wonder we fight so hard for them.....
