Anonymous said...: Years ago, back before Trayvon Martin, in the days of Operation Exile, some in Florida were working on a similar but homegrown solution to the nationwide problem of career criminals. The proposal was called "10-20-Life". Carry a gun while committing a violent felony & get 10 years. Use the gun and get 20 years. Hurt someone with the gun and get a life sentence.

The jaw dropping moment for me came when a state representative from the Richmond Heights area said he was against the bill because it was unfair to his constituents. Stop and think for a minute! Who, exactly was this guy claiming as his constituents.
