Am in the hospital, with IV in arm, waiting for tomorrow's gutting. Still working with laptop.

Just remembering what happened to a friend of mine. He was about to float off when someone in the OR said " Ok, now we're going to make a girl out of ya!"

He woke somewhat rapidly.

Best wishes and I know you'll do fine. Little prayer anyway.

You've been in my prayers for a few days now, I'll keep it up and ask for some assistance for tomorrow. Good luck and God speed.

Wish you success tomorrow and a speedy return to your customary crankiness, Mike.

Very telling that out there in the "polarized blogoshpere" there isn't a mention of you - not even a call for prayer on general principles.

I'm turned off by that kind of conflict, and it's not lost on me that this kind of dissent is our side's achilles heel. But, I do pay attention, and if that's the best behavior these so called Christian patriots can muster, I'm glad to know who they are!

Give that alien HELL Mike and when you're finished with it, put it in a jar on the shelf with all your other conquests and trophies. I know we'll all be hearing from you not long after you wake up 15 pounds lighter. There are still monsters to slay, fish to fillet and dirty bastards that need their clocks cleaned; you're just the guy to do it! Give him a hug for US Rosie.

Prayers for you and yours, Mike.

Just went down this same road 2 weeks ago. Think positive.

Might as well replace the water pump, leaky valve seals, and rusty ball joints while in there.

Magic Marker the area to cut, and put cautionary notes on the parts to leave alone. ------->"remove tumor only, please" <-----------

Drug regularly and vigorously post-op. You aren't ever getting anything so nice as hospital morphine drip at home (they are total nazi's about good dope!). My Mom described it as "the softest pillow you ever felt". zzzzzz.
Plenty of time to be grumpy and uncomfortable, later.

Best wishes.
