LA Times: Gun-tracking operation caught top suspect, then let him go. Federal agents stopped the main target of the ill-fated Operation Fast and Furious in May 2010. After they questioned him, he disappeared back into Mexico, and the program went on to spiral out of control.
CBS: Prime gunwalking suspect was held by ATF but released, documents show.

Still praying for you Mike
OK, so does this legitimize the press characterizations of Gunwalker as 'botched" or "bungled"?
Or does it demonstrate a complete absence of law-enforcement intent?
Let me see if I got this straight - the collateral damage lady Hope MacAllister had Acosta under arrest with dozens of fast and furious weapons. She let him go after giving him her phone number on a ten dollar bill. Why? That makes no sense unless the plan to get the guy upstream of the straw buyers did not exist.
Why does she still have a job with the ATF?
Mike,
Glad to have you back even on a limited basis.
Did a go round with prostate cancer surgery myself in 2009. They do like to get you up and walking quickly as aggravating as it may feel. Some things will come back right quick, but you can expect vestiges of the surgery and anesthesia to remain with you for months. And you do need to relearn some body skills, so take your time and do not push too hard.
Mike,
Your body is responding to an awfully invasive internal medical intercession, so it's no wonder it's "rough"; damn right its rough, it's payback time man! Progress in the healing process will be most enjoyable and noticeable when the incision begins to madly itch. Gently scratch with clean fingers and coo like a Morning Dove.
The LA Times piece supports the Obama/Holder narrative that "mistakes were made" and made by someone else. Yeah right, maybe a few were. But who started and authorized this? Don't answer, I know.
I know that Dave said to go easy on the comments, but I just want ya' to know that we're all pulling for ya'.
