My greatest hero serves as a gun captain on the USS Lexington CV16. Two torpedoes and 3 Kamikazes later he was on the second ship, behind the USS Missouri to sail into Tokyo Bay. He went on to work for General Motors for 30 years, father 3 children and die at the young age of 55. He toughed out the hard times by working on a dairy farm when the union was on strike. He worked 7 days a week for 3 straight years. He was a great provider, he was my Father Robert A. Fowler. God bless and keep you dad. I miss you so much.
