Afghan government makes the South Vietnamese Diem regime look like Sunday School teachers in retrospect. Have we learned nothing?

Catch-and-release of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan angers troops.

Taking prisioners and turning them over to Afgane Wardens? Is there some other outcome expected for these "Detainies", come on when will the Military Learn? This is like the Fox guarding the hen house.

One in every four of those released from Guantanamo Bay has been re-arrested in some kind of terrorist activity, I read yesterday.
Still a better recidivism rate than our common criminal guests of the U.S. penal system.
Maximum terror=bleating for maximum control.

Nothing like recycling the enemy, all to keep a useless war going.

All wars for the profit of the few, at the expense of the many.

Why you ask......... Read "War is a Racket" by Maj.Gen. Smedley Butler.

It's very simple..........

I've offered my copy of "War is a Racket" by MajGen Smedley Butler to fellow Marines and they don't want to read it. Some people prefer to stay stupid and brainwashed, just like the Fox News crowd. No amount of education can make people let go of preconceived notions, thinking they know better already. Gen. Butler lets you know that all he ever did was start wars and kill people for large corporate interests, 100 years ago!!!

CBS News the other night -- if you can believe them on anything -- says Pres. Karzai of Afghanistan is "getting more imperial... referring to his people as "subjects." " I've read that elsewhere.
Also, Afghan troops show up two hours late for joint missions, without extra ammo, food and water, trusting their American hand-holders to provide. And when an op takes them through the numerous marijuana fields, they cheerfully stop to harvest some for later.
Looks like they'll never be "ready" to go it alone. Too bad, so sad, bring our troops home NOW.

We're probably going to need our troops home. China is pissed that Australia is strengthening its national defense and saying bad things about Chinese Communism in an official report.
