Update.
I have been asked to explain where I am in my course of treatment for the resurgence of the cancer. Well, I am supposed to be transitioning from Gleevec to another, newer and supposedly more potent chemo drug. Problem: we are going through the same problem as before with Gleevec (which, by the way, is supposed to go generic within the next year) -- Blue Cross/Blue shield doesn't want to pickup the tab for the new drug and we were told this week that instead of the $40 per month promised, BC/BS is going to charge us $395.00 per month. That's prohibitively expensive for my budget, so we have applied to a foundation to see if they'll pickup the difference. The oncologist says chances look good, but we'll see. Another problem: the new drug has a list of possible side effects as long as your arm, so it remains to be seen if I can even tolerate it. Again, we'll see. I continue to try to build up my muscle mass but my weight still hovers between 161-165 pounds -- not enough. So, keep me in your prayers, boys and girls.
I have been doing some regular readings in the Bible for most of my insomniac reading these days, alternating between Old and New Testaments, with an occasional chapter or two of the Apochrypha throw in for spice. The latest selection was Proverbs, Chapters One through Three. A lot of wisdom there. Must get going this morning. More doctors' visits. I'll have more later.

Sincere prayers, every day. We need your stabilizing influence and voice.
To keep your muscle mass up, you're going to need to eat. Even when you don't feel like it. It's better if you can arrange to feel like it. Consider getting a Medical MJ card, not only for appetite enhancement, but to tolerate the nausea from chemo. The sense of well-being that many experience can't hurt ether. Do it for the cause, we need you around as long as possible. Good Luck Sir.
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
You will heal. We are praying for you.
Hi Mike! Sending healing prayers for you to Adonai – the One True God of Israel. May He release the medication to you and use it to heal you - may He change the “heart” of BlueCross/Blue Shield back to the $40 promised.
Jeremiah 17:14:
“Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for You are the One I praise.”
Blessings to you and yours…..
First, God bless you in your quest for wellness.
Second, (and I'm sure you've heard this before but if not) - alkalize, alkalize, alkalize. I did cancer research back in the 80's and the simplest thing one can do to change transformed cells is to make your body's pH something they can't live in, something slightly above normal blood pH. Your oncologists won't tell you this (unless they have some semblance of ethics and consider the patient beyond the bucks that flow into their practice), but it's easiest and best done by changing the diet to something without a lot of sugars, and eating vegetables and other foods which are known to alkalize the body's systems. There are many websites which discuss this, too many to list. But maybe start off with naturalnews.com and follow the many links from there. Curezone.org is pretty good, too (almost too much info, there's so much).

Endorse MadMagyar's advice, and would like to point out that this effect is carried to it's theoretical limit by cesium chloride treatment. The cesium is taken up by malignant cells and drives their pH high enough to disable or kill them, with negligible effect on healthy tissues.

It took me years to learn enough about alternative medicine to separate the wheat from the chaff in that chaotic and unregulated market. This treatment passes muster. Please use it.
A book of Proverbs a day will last you a whole month. There's some great life lessons there.
Ditto to MadMagyar!
