NRA didn't start the boycott. It was grassroots. Up to a day or two ago, NRA was still planning on attending the show. Only after a huge number of exhibitors dropped out and NRA got massive member pushback did they drop out. NRA needs to grow a set of balls if they want to be relevant and keep membership.
I thought some of you don't like the NRA and think they don't accomplish anything for our benefit. I guess they fooled you this time, huh? Huzzah, Huzzah, Huzzah for the NRA! - Old Greybeard

The show organizers really need to get a clue. The same folks who go there to see the outdoorsey stuff are AR-15 owners to a very large extent.
Blame it on the "emotionally charged atmosphere", yeah, that'll work.
Mean time I hope they lose millions in advertising and rentals.
