Personal milestone: 19 January 1979

My son, SGT Matthew Bradley Vanderboegh, was born on this date 33 years ago. Proudest day of my life up to that time, especially since I had to intervene in the process to make sure he didn't die in delivery. (Long story, not enough time to tell it now.)
Happy birthday, Matt. And send me some better pictures of you, Nicole, Mason, Gabriel and Olivia.

You took a nice kid and raised him into a fine man, who took it upon himself to become a patriot and a hero.

Well done, sir. Well done.

I know how you feel, Mike. My boy is a lot younger, but old enough. In fact I just married him off two weekends ago; he's twenty three. And I am just as proud as you are, and for the same reasons. He didn't join the military like I did; I didn't want him working for the beast. Taught him the Bible and the armament of the Word. Gave him examples of what it is to be an overcomer. To stand when most run away. To "fear not" when the Lord says to "Fear not!" To give mercy when called for, and death when demanded by the damned. There was a lot of teaching, practicing and praying. And now he's a man.

God bless you, my brother. God bless your son.

I praise God for you both.

Happy belated birthday, Matthew Bradley Vanderboegh. There is a reason to celebrate this day that you may not have thought of. Rejoice that you were born into a family of clean, decent Americans instead of a nest of foaming-at-the-mouth Liberalists.

BTW, why do the new online Marine banner ads say "PROUDLY defending our nation and it's communities."? We don't need the Marines protecting our communities. We got that covered on at least three levels in this country. That ad rubs me wrong deserves my every suspicion.

It won't let me cut and paste the banner, and I can't get an image link due to the type of banner it is but here is the link to the page it is on. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/warm
It kept showing up for me. Maybe it will for you.
