All we all comfortable? Everybody paying attention? Good. This is your critical thinking assignment for today. The subject was placed as a comment to one of my posts on my blog. Read it first in its entirety and then we will deconstruct it.
Anonymous has left a new comment on your post ""In re U.S. vs. Olofson": A second Open Letter to ...":
I firmly believe in preparing for a first strike. I did a Google search on the name of my town and it somehow led me to the E-mail list for the entire police department. Using the search engine (REDACTED) I have been able to find the home address of almost all the officers. Most of the local cops have M-4 Carbines in the trunk of their cruisers so my friends know where to go to get some weapons (if needed). I would think that when the SHTF that a phone call from the spouse or child of an officer that there is someone holding them hostage just might demoralize the Gestapo who would be helping the BATF goons. Just my 2 cents worth to give hints such as finding where the BATF FBI & others live.
Now, class, if you haven't figured it out by now, this is the work of a FedTroll. FedTrolls live under bridges and in other dark sewers and do not like the light.
Let us then deconstruct this piece of work.
"I firmly believe in preparing for a first strike."
Now class, which of our Three Percent prime directives does this violate? Yes, Johnny? That is correct. "No Fort Sumters." What else? Yes, Janey? That is certainly true. Our first requirement as Three Percenters is that we not be stupid and play into our opponent's hands. Bobby? That is also correct. Anyone who was serious about his announced intention would keep it quiet out of operational security. Yes, Billy, your hand was up? Right, no one with half a brain would announce such an intention on the Internet where every key stroke and ISP can be mapped by the NSA. And, therefore? Anybody? Correct. He is either too stupid to fear the Feds or he is one. Well done, James. Now let's move on to the next statement.
"I did a Google search on the name of my town and it somehow led me to the E-mail list for the entire police department."
Comments? Yes, Martin. No Billy, Martin's hand was up first. Uh, huh. Yes, this does defy logic. How many police departments put their rosters on the Internet? Yes, that's right. It does defy logic and experience. And you conclude? Precisely. It IS a lie. OK, next statement.
"Using the search engine (REDACTED) I have been able to find the home address of almost all the officers."
Now, who would this statement most disconcert? Yes, Billy, that's right. Police officers. And are local police officers and sheriff's deputies ipso facto the enemies of the Three Percent? Of course, they aren't. Billy? Yes, well said. If they are Oathkeepers they ARE one of us. And what do you think Oathkeepers would think about this if it were true? Yes, they would view anybody who did this as a potential enemy. I would too. Now, next statement.
"Most of the local cops have M-4 Carbines in the trunk of their cruisers so my friends know where to go to get some weapons (if needed)."
OK, William, I haven't heard from you yet. What is wrong with this statement? Yes. Certainly. The 7.62 NATO cartridge does outrange the 5.56. Give me more though. Yes, full auto weapons do waste ammo. And? More please. Yes I know you and your father have better weapons than "those POS" as you eloquently put it. And? (Sigh.) OK, anybody. Janey. Yes. Precisely. If the officer is an Oathkeeper whoever stole his weapon would be an enemy to all of us. OK, and what about this part of his comment?
"I would think that when the SHTF that a phone call from the spouse or child of an officer that there is someone holding them hostage just might demoralize the Gestapo who would be helping the BATF goons. Just my 2 cents worth to give hints such as finding where the BATF FBI & others live."
OK, look, you can't all answer at once. William. Critical thinking time, son. What's wrong with this? Don't look at Janey. THINK, son. Right! William is correct. Three Percenters and Oathkeepers do not target non-combatants or innocents of any kind. That is what our enemies do. Yes, William, thank you. It IS just like Waco and Ruby Ridge. And is this the conduct of a Threeper or an Oathkeeper? Yes, well, you seem to all be certain of that. The answer is NO. Anybody else? Yes, Janey? That is correct. If he has done what he claims to have done and posted it in public, he has violated a number of new federal laws. Yes, he could go to jail for a long time for doing so. So is he just stupid and wrong or is he a FedTroll? Let me see a show of hands. Who thinks he's just stupid? OK, William. anybody else? No? The rest of you are correct, this IS the work of a FedTroll. And why would he try to post it as a comment on my blog?
That is right, Janey. To discredit me and the Threepers. And if I just let this comment post automatically without vetting it? Yes, Janey, again you are correct. It might pass unnoticed and people would think I agreed with such, uh, crap. Really Janey, I know you feel strongly about this, but try to use less, uh, scatalogical language. Yes, dear, I know your daddy is a truck driver.
OK, I guess that about wraps it up for today. William? See me after class for some extra reading, will you?

US vs THEM
Attacking local LEOs is counterproductive on many levels. First, it invites additional police resources from higher levels (County, State, Fed). Second, it turns folks off to US making them more receptive to THEM.
So long as WE don't behave like THEM, they will have enough rope with which to hang themselves.
Think of the movie Roadhouse. What does Dalton tell the bouncers? No, "Pain don't hurt" is with the hottie doctor stitching him up. He tells the bouncers to "Be nice. I want you to be nice until it's time not to be nice." One of them asks, "How will we know when it's time not to be nice." Dalton, "You won't. I'll let you know."

Love the picture, Mike!
Hard to believe they actually think we are this stupid...
Not being "nice" is very different from being evil.
How stupid do they think we are?
Schooling the Trolls (and us), indeed.
Well done!
The Wretched Dog
What I find hysterically funny is that 'they' imagine that they know how WE think and this is the best they can do!!
Gee, if they really wanted a troll post to be believable and to sound like a genuine three per center, they would need to include a sentence or two about 'slapping my woman around last night', and of course, include a few racial epithets and if possible, a couple of veiled references to the Jewish conspiracies. Then all of us iggernunt, redneck, vilent racist gun nut types would really think one of our OWN dun wrote it!
Maybe next time.

Mike, you've got a great way of explaining things so even the densest can get it. Did you manage to get the FedTroll's IP address to trace? It would be kinda fun to see which agency he works for... or maybe even directly out of the (once) White House.
Semper fi, brother.

agent provocateur:(Webster) "one employed to associate him/herself with members of a group or with suspected persons and by pretended sympathy with their aims or attitudes to incite them to some action that will make them liable to apprehension and punishment."
This was the technique used years ago with private 'militias' and other gangs/groups with specific aim and prejudice. It was successful in getting some gullible individuals into considerable hot water.
Anyone who professes to ramp up to a first strike as well as use nefarious ways to do so should be documented and turned into local authorities for prosecution. These people are not good for society at large. They care not one wit for any of us and are not of the 'peace officer/protect and serve' variety that many of us know and support.
As Eric suggests, 'be nice until it's time not to be nice'. I suspect the timing will be most obvious...

Here comes global BATFE,

That post is so stupid on so many levels. Troll or insane, one the same.
I have a 40 percent instinctive feeling that this might be the same person who posted the BS about the Nyberg flags last week.
Classic disinformation tactics being used again here.
I mailed copies of Sheriff Mack's The County Sheriff America's Last Hope to the sheriffs in my two counties yesterday. They are inexpensive, and I encourage all to do so.
Well done, Mike.

You dont have to post this I was mostly just sending this to you.
I wanted to thank you for showing ALL police are NOT JBT's. I think too many believe if youwork for any form of government your BAD. YES I know there are some who are mearly sheeple but there are enough who will help keep freedom rather than put it down.
I also believe in without laws there can be NO Freedom. I am NOT talking about a book 4 inches thick but we do need a few.
One last point .....Please dont make truckers look like cussing fools. My S/O is a very hardworking man who cusses less than I do.
Thank you and have a great day
Pamela
Has anyone else noticed frequently we are able to quote Patrick Swayze movies in regards to what believe is a good way to live our lives? Or about things happening right now?
Here's a few to jog your memory:
RED DAWN-
Jed Eckert: How did you get shot down, Colonel?
Col. Andy Tanner: It was five to one. I got four.
Robert: Wolverines!
[while giving guns to freed Americans]
Jed Eckert: C'mon! We're all going to die, die standing up!
[last lines]
Erica: [closing narration] I never saw the Eckert Brothers again. In time, this war - like every other war - ended. But I never forgot. And I come to this place often, when no one else does.
[we see "Partisan Rock," with its memorial plaque, which she reads for us]
Erica: "... In the early days of World War 3, guerillas - mostly children - placed the names of their lost upon this rock. They fought here alone and gave up their lives, so that this nation should not perish from the earth."
KGB Major: Do you want to see me?
Colonel Ernesto Bella: Yes... yes. Go to the sporting goods store. From the files obtain forms 4473. These will contain descriptions of weapons, and lists of private ownership.
--------------------------------
ROADHOUSE-
Dalton: Pain don't hurt.
Dalton: Nobody ever wins a fight.
Dalton: All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never underestimate your opponent. Expect the unexpected. Two, take it outside. Never start anything inside the bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.
Dalton: Take the biggest guy in the world, shatter his knee and he'll drop like a stone.
Dalton: I want you to be nice until it's time to not be nice.
Wade Garrett: I'll get all the sleep I need when I'm dead.
[repeated line]
Frank Tilghman: It's a good night. Nobody died.
Dalton: It'll get worse before it gets better.
Wade Garrett: A man puts a gun in yer face, you got two choices- stand there 'n die or kill the motherfucker!
-----------------------------------
DIRTY DANCING-
Johnny: Nobody puts Baby in a corner.
Johnny: I'll never be sorry.
Baby: Neither will I.
----------------------------------
POINT BREAK-
Bodhi: Little hand says it's time to rock and roll.
Bodhi: It's basic dog psychology, if you scare them and get them peeing down their leg, they submit. But if you project weakness, that promotes violence, and that's how people get hurt.
Roach: Peace, through superior firepower.
Bohdi: Fear causes hesitation, and hesitation will cause your worst fears to come true.
[after a long discussion about which parachute Johnny Utah should use]
Johnny Utah: You gonna jump or jerk off?
Australian cop at the end of the movie: We'll get him when he comes back in!
Johnny Utah: He's not coming back.
Johnny Utah: Bohdi! This is your wakeup call I AM AN F... B... I AGENT!
Bodhi: I know, isn't it wild!
-------------------------------
THE OUTSIDERS-
["shooting" at cops]
Dallas: You're never gonna get me alive!
--------------------------------
Just thought it was interesting...

Our local LEOs are good upstanding people for the most part. Occasionally one will do something kinda stupid, but for the most part they are OK. Just this week a fairly new hiree was convicted for sexual assault of one of his family (a minor) and then transferred to his last place of employment for trial there on the same charges. He will be spending a good bit of time in the pen. Lots of places this would have been swept under the rug and he would still be on the job. The local rural populace would not tolerate JBTs. Even the nearby BATF have been OK and have left me alone on FFL business and have even been helpful if I needed anything. In conversations with a couple of them I believe they will be oath keepers unless threats from above intimidate them.
Changing the thread a bit, this jogged a memory from about 43 years ago. My memory may be a little off on this, but I think it went something like this: From NVA and Charles training, "A wounded enemy is preferable to a dead enemy". "The manpower and expense of handling a wounded enemy is much greater than that of a dead enemy". Widows and other survivors grieve, collect benefits, then go about their business. It takes much more out of a society and family members to take care of a severely wounded indivual, especially so the longer term the recovery. The painful memories of the severly injured are not conducive to returning to official duties anytime soon. The thinking on this may be totally wrong, but it sounds plausible.
if you haven't figured it out by now, this is the work of a FedTroll.
Or possibly Gunkid got out of prison...
Excellent post, Mike. It was like a class in History and Moral Philosophy. Colonel Dubois would be proud.
:::sigh::: this is the EXACT reason that I also am forced to moderate comments on my own blog.
This person is either a.)horrifically misguided or b.)trollling like a true ATF'er.
Either way, "post, meet the delete button".
Good on you for making his thoughts and presumed motives public.
I have a "friend" who is of this same vein...I need to reign him in constantly and forcefully lest he betray us all in his anger inadvertently.
Keep it up, MV, you're doing good.

Logic clearly states that you have to respect the fact that these people will engineer/manufacture crimes out of thin air. We have seen this time and time again. So for a fact, we do not know that this is a fed troll but we need to treat it as one because the raw truth clearly states this is their MO from their track record.
Which brings the sad truth, they are not part of the citizens world in this great country. These people are so caught up in their own game they don't see the sickness they have and how they are being used. Not saying all cops are bad, I personally know more than a few whom are as decent as anyone I know. They have children and do worry about their own and the children their friends have.
Excellent and thought provoking post there Mike.
He COULD be a FedTroll... And perhaps it's wisest to assume he is.
On the other hand, he could also be someone (like us) that is attuned to the dangers of a leviathan government, but who imagines scenarios that cross the line of legitimate resistance. You know the saying: "There's always one in every crowd."
There is no effective difference, between an actual provocateur, and a person who isn't in the pay of oppressors but who, for whatever reason, does the things a provocateur would do. We shouldn't care (much) whether or not this guy is a provocateur.
As to cops, they are in a ticklish position. There are lots of decent cops, but it is also true that no tyranny ever existed without cops to back it up. I expect over time, the bad cops will drive the good ones out. Maybe not everywhere, but in a lot of places. The places where it won't happen, are the places where cops do not have anonymity.Small towns, etc.
