A very inconvenient truth

As seen on The View from North Central Idaho.  Click on the link for a wonderful discussion that was had with a "all guns are icky" social media warrior.  Facts punch right through feelings, every time.

The mask drops

"Correlation does not prove causation. But a negative correlation certainly proves that “easy access to guns” cannot be blamed for murder and violent crime."

"We have still other means to test the claim that “flaccid gun laws” are a problem. I have been asking a question for over a decade now. And many others, including the CDC and the Department of Justice, have been asking it in slightly different forms without being able to find an answer that agrees with those who want more repressive gun laws. The background for the question can be found here: http://blog.joehuffman.org/2004/12/14/just-one-question/"

"The question is, “Can you demonstrate one time or place, throughout all history, where the average person was made safer by restricting access to handheld weapons?” The answer turns out to be, “No.”

Well now that's quite the hockey stick, ain't it?

Do you by any chance have the specific sources for each of those statistics in that graph? I know where to find the crime rates on the FBI website, but any help with the others would be handy.

My project for this weekend is to update that to 2015 and put it on a freaking t-shirt. Actually make that 20 t-shirts. I already know what everyone in my family is getting for Christmas.

Happy trails,

Inconvenient. All you really have to know is that leftists spend their lives lying to each other, and everyone else. Their plans eventually fail, because the basis for them, and all the awful things they wind up doing, have a complete lack of integrity. You can lie all you want, but eventually, G*d, math, nature, and human beings common sense will catch up, showing socialism and its idiotic track record for what they are. The Devil is the original socialist/communist, trying to stage a coup in heaven.

The five congressional "representatives" from the PSRK (Peoples Socialist Republic of Kommiecticut) have returned home from their little tantrum in the well of the house. According to their leader John B. Larson (D) 1st District.....90% of the American people agree WITH THEM!

I call total BULLSHIT. It that were true, would they really need to pull their little stunt....I mean, really?

No, it is nowhere near that number, and I have my own anecdotal evidence that puts it below 50%. It is that even split that is why they have to resort to antics like this, and the Goebbels school of propaganda, where if you tell a lie often enough, the people perceive it as truth. The full quote is:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” - Josef Goebbels

The truth is not relevant.

Lying advances the cause. Lying is obligatory.

It doesn't matter that the lie you told five minutes ago no longer works. You pull the next card and play it. If that works, use it until it doesn't then go to the next.

Lying is Satan's primary tool.
