Go ahead, Euroweenies, make our day. Collectivist propagandist wants Europe to commit more economic suicide in the mistaken belief that it will hurt us.
Euroweenie -- A European, or American who wishes he/she were European, with an ultra-liberal view of the world, who believes that the United States should roll over like a bunch of pussies and become testicle-less Socialist wimps like they are. As in "John Kerry is a Euroweenie." -- Urban Dictionary.
Should European Gun Companies Stop Exporting to the US?
In a country where guns are ubiquitous, and the right to bear arms is firmly enshrined in its constitution – there are 310 million guns in circulation – American gun violence seems inevitable. Europe boasts a very healthy gun industry, one that certainly profits from America’s love affair with the gun. In 2012, EU countries exported small arms and ammunition to the value of more than three-quarters of a billion dollars there.
Go ahead. The companies will just shift their production to the United States. Mo' better for us. And then watch and see if the Russians go along with it. And the Serbs. And the Turks. And the Croats.

Back in 2005, ATF decided that imported parts set that their masters didn't like had somehow magically lost the "sporting purpose" that they had for many previous decades. So they issued a letter saying, "you can't have barrels for these any more".
The result has been a US Based barrel making industry growing by leaps and bounds. I'll bet the owners of Green Mountain celebrate the date on that proclamation every year, because it made their company.
Likewise the import restrictions of 1989, 1994 etc., and the wait time often measured in years to get firearms released from Customs. What do we have as a result of all this?
AK's are now made COMPLETELY in the USA. Who would have guessed that 15 years ago? God knows there are enough of them in the rest of the world that could be bought for $100 each, but since we cannot own MG's converted to semi-auto (as they can in Europe and Canada, where gun laws ironically are much more restrictive) we imported parts sets. When they took barrels out of the equation, we just made barrels. Now we cannot even get parts sets, because a dealer in Europe can get more there for the gun as a deactivated wall hanger than he can from an American parts set importer.
So now we make out own AK's. Receiver, barrels, bolts, everything. The price of an AR16/M4 is in the neighborhood of $600 +/-. It's never been easier to afford an "assault rifle" unless we got back to the late 80's when Norinco AK's were $275 dealer cost.
For all the "work" the anti's have done in since 1989, they don't have appear to be able to afford many more "wins".
"The tighter they grasp, the more slips through their fingers."
One of the things the leftist, disarmist democratzis fail to recognize is that its not a "love affair with the gun". The U.S. is unlike any country in the world because we have the Bill of Rights. These rights are recognized to be bestowed upon us as human beings for greater constitutional protection of individual liberties. The Bill of Rights (written by James Madison) lists specific prohibitions on governmental power. Only the British had something similar (Magna Carta, Petition of Right, English Bill of Rights). The colonists recognized that the British tyranny could only have been overcome through an armed revolution. Had the colonists not had arms, they could not have fought the British. When the Brits marched against the patriot arsenal at Concord in 1775 to confiscate all the weapons & gunpowder, it began, along with the battle of Lexington, the American Revolution.
Its more than a love affair with the gun. Its not as simplistic as the disarmists would have people believe. It is for this reason the Founding Fathers had something to say about the right to bear arms.
"The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms." - Samuel Adams, Massachusetts Ratifying Convention, 1788
Its not a love affair with the gun - its at the very core of our existence as a country. No other country enjoys the guaranteed liberties we do... and no other country tolerates the disarmist's lying and misleading attempts to infringe upon a constitutional right as the U.S. does. Were we not to have the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, the present administration would have totally transformed this great country into just another European socialist "Euroweenie" of a worthless country.
Its not a love affair - its our right!
To all the people harping on about some imagined "epidemic of gun violence," I have only this to say:
Maybe you couldn't tell, but...
Our murder rate is currently 4.5 per 100,000 people.
That number peaked in 1980, at 10.2 per 100,000 people.
In other words, since 1980, we've CUT THE MURDER RATE IN HALF. We've not seen such a low rate since before 1960.
SOURCE: The FBI: https://www.fbi.gov/…/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.…/tables/table-1
We're looking at the lowest point in 50 years, and we're in the middle of a 30-year decline in murders.
So, when you reference this "epidemic," tell me, exactly... What the hell are you talking about?
What I've found to be the great difference between Europeans who stayed in Europe and the ones who migrated here is they way they choose to "get ahead". The European ones cozy up to the aristocracy as much as possible to get ahead and the ones who came here found American individualism, innovation and hard work the way to go. The ones over there will never understand the American mindset of individualism and only appreciate it when we have to fight their battles for them.
