A Decade Later, Remember New Orleans … Gun Confiscation Can (And Has) Happened In America

Despite their inability to cope with the resulting mayhem, several days after the storm passed New Orleans officials ordered the confiscation of lawfully-owned firearms from city residents. In a September 8, 2005 article, the New York Times described the scene, stating, “Local police officers began confiscating weapons from civilians in preparation for a forced evacuation of the last holdouts still living here… Police officers and federal law enforcement agents scoured the city carrying assault rifles seeking residents who have holed up to avoid forcible eviction.” As reported by the Washington Post, New Orleans Superintendent P. Edwin Compass made clear, “No one will be able to be armed,” and, “Guns will be taken. Only law enforcement will be allowed to have guns.”
No more free Wacos. No more free Katrinas, either.

They disarmed Grandma and old men in a boat. I do not think one gang banger was disarmed though.

Regarding the Bikers, they already got another free Waco. But then, I suppose it ain't over yet (as the hiding of info continues unabated still, or is it again?). Failing to get the race war agitated to the shooting level, the Obamabots tried to directly light one off either between bikers themselves or between civilians and cops. They thought they had a sure thing in Waco. Think about it Mike, they come strong nationally with "lost and stolen" legislation just as "tragic boating accidents" become daily part of the American lexicon. Like it or not, "no more free wacos" bunches up their panties exactly the same way.

I sure won't shill for criminal bikers or their gangs, but what happened there was a set up of one variety or another. I believe it was plain old assasination, and political at that, and they are indeed getting it for free. But then, that is always how the police state has been expanded isn't it?! Pretend the augmenting of force is meant for the "other" only ones.... The criminals. That is how you get a stupid and scared public to buy into stripping away rights - make the citizenry think it is really to protect them from the criminals.

Bundy Ranch was a disaster for gubmint. Gunwalker was too. Something HAD to be done and it was. Obama is proving he is "winning" against the three percent - by getting away with another Waco. Cept he don't realize that he is Charlie sheen "winning".

What I hope people finally learn is that while it is said that registration leads to confiscation - the real drama exists elsewhere - that confiscation of guns translates to ending lives. I submit that we need to be more blunt and more straightforward. Like this - when you let them take your guns, you are already dead (even if you don't realize it) but worse yet, and more troubling, is that so is your posterity (especially posterity not even yet born). Don't believe it? See Chicago, Baltimore or DC.

Said gun confiscation was executed by those "pro second amendment" types in Law Imposement, who are such good guys that they would never do such a thing... until ordered to do it.

They did it and they would do it again. Do you think the "few bad apples" who went out and grabbed guns from peaceful people, were shunned by their co-workers as a "few bad apples"? The cop who didn't actually do the deed will tell you with a strait face, "Well, I never took anybody's guns.", while sitting next to and protecting the man who did. He feels very good about it too.

The discussion will eventually devolve into, "Well, cops do more good on ballance than bad. We should look at the whole picture." There was a saying a while back, when such things were still said, "Ya build a thousand bridges and they'll never call you an engineer... but ya suck one cock..!"
