Poor babies. ATF gets knickers in a twist about FBI's disrespect of jurisdictional boundaries.

ATF out of loop during Navy Yard investigation.

ATF has been and still is considered the bottom of the barrel agency for federal law enforcement.

Everyone in the civil service considers their agents couldn't qualify anywhere else, except possibly TSA.

Wait..wait...something doesn't jive in this report. First off..the heading says ATF was out of the loop. FBI did the gun trace. But THEN..down below..it says..

quote:"But the ATF wasn't involved....

There is no evidence that the FBI did anything wrong in tracing the gun on its own, but the move is unusual.

"I have never seen an instance where ATF had not been relied upon to trace the gun," said Mike Bouchard, a former ATF assistant director for field operations. "I have never heard of a situation like that."

By 6 p.m. Monday, the day of the shooting, The Associated Press had learned that the shotgun had been legally purchased at a gun shop in Lorton, Va. When asked about those details, the ATF said its trace had not been completed. ATF spokeswoman Ginger Colbrun said in a statement Friday that once ATF traced the shotgun, that information was handed off to the FBI, which is leading the investigation. She declined to say when the ATF completed its trace." unquote

So, once ATF traced the shotgun..they gave the info to FBI????? WTF???? Sounds to me like some reporter has their head up their ass.

Sigh, more hoplophobic spin, the article 'conveniently' ignored the fact that the majority of the victims at Aurora were shot with (wait for it)
a shotgun.

This was in reality a not so subtle hit piece attempting to demonize 'evil black rifles'in particular. And of course ALL fireams in general.

Mass shootings or so they are called now have a media lifespan of less than 48 hours. But what about the next one you ask? Well we already see it in Kenya and shhhhhhhh.

Even if the next one IS a black rifle the precedent is already set. Weeks on end coverage would see people point out the hushing that happened over this one and the reality is that they are all progressive Obama voters anyway.

Ted Cruz destroyed Diane's ban and Toomey manchin failed miserably in the thick of trite gun control coverage out of state run media. They have admitted defeat to themselves and the lack if coverage proves it.

Banners are SCARED this day. And it's about time. What they WANT now is to REMOVE gun rights from campaigns. Spiking the navy yard story and the Kenya mall stuff is PROOF of it.
