Still sitting here, waiting for the contractor who has by now wasted 2.5 hours of rainless daylight.

I will lose the Internet when he does show up, so I might as well shut down now with the promise I'll have more after the job is done today. (If . . .)

Anonymous said...: Having been one of those guys who works all day long on properties in nice residential neighborhoods while the folks who live there are out elsewhere earning enough money to live in such a nice neighborhood-

We were usually NOT ALLOWED to make use of the perfectly good working hours before 9:00 am, disturbing the neighborhood before banker's hours with tools and noisy work was frowned on. We would have prefered to start at dawn! Cooler, and we'd have missed rush hour traffic on the way to the job.; August 19, 2013 at 9:43 AM

This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible.
