Ready to jump off when somebody throws a skunk in the window. Oath Keepers' Muster on Lexington Green has had its permit pulled -- and the town "selectmen" are blaming the Boston bombing.
An email from Oath Keepers reports:
Lexington Board of Selectmen wave victory flag for marathon attacker
On April 16th the Lexington board of selectmen called an "emergency meeting" to discuss permit suspension for The Muster On The Battle Green. The permit was revoked under the guise of public safety. . . .
The "emergency meeting" assembled at 6:00PM but turned out to be a smoke and mirror show. The Lexington Patch reported that the permits have been revoked at 3:22PM April 16th. That is 2 hours and 38 minutes before it got voted on.
Stewart Rhodes writes: "We have retained Massachusetts attorney, Blake Filippi, who also works with The 10th Amendment Center to seek an injunction against the revocation of the permit." Permit or not, speeches or not, I intend to take a stroll on Lexington Green Friday. Let them arrest me for that. Of course there is another rally in Massachusetts on Friday at which I will speak, and then I'll be at the Hartford rally in Connecticut on Saturday.
I will be leaving out shortly for the long drive. Keep me in your prayers. I intend to make a little news while I'm behind enemy lines. Although I will be surprised if I get arrested, there is always that possibility. David Codrea will let you know if we end up needing bail money.
In any case, posting and comment release may be a bit spotty for the next couple of days.

Good news just came across the FoxNews.com site. The U.S. Senate just defeated the "Expanded Background Check" bill by a vote of 54 to 46. That was too close, but I'm grateful anyway.

Prayers for your health & safety, Mike - and thanx to you and David for all you've accomplished. Take care,

At the urging of the state and feds, says one Boston TV station.

If you need bail money, many of us will provide. We appreciate what you do for us Mike.
There are a Constitutional right to speech and peaceable assembly. Exercise those rights. Show up anyways and speak to whomever will listen.
Geeze.. Its a good thing the Brits didnt pull the permit on Captain Parker and His Men, we'd still be english.

Ummm - Did the Minute Men need a permit or did they carry their authorisation with them?
"We are removing your right of Freedom of Assembly - for you own safety!"
"That has long been our policy so we made the decission BEFORE the meeting ..."
"The decission was merely rattified by the meeting!"
"You know - like the Constitution."

What's all this BS about needing permits for 1A protected speech anyway?
That'd be like demanding you ask permission to KABA. Oh, nevermind.
Sue the selectmen as part of a fund raiser. If the permit was revoked 2 1/2 hours before the meeting, it shows a hidden agenda. Use the monetary award for an even bigger and better gathering next year.
So much for the "right to peaceable assembly" when your right to do so requires a "permit".
LOL, what a fucking joke Amerika has become....a sad, pathetic one.

I mentioned to someone that this was probably going to happen, less than an hour after I learned about the bombing at the marathon.
"Never let a crisis go to waste"
The right to peaceably assemble doesn't expire with the utterances of any bunch of local yocals. Its public property and I intend to go enjoy it.

Meanwhile - back at the ranch...
Obama: "How is this possible? My superdemagoguery powers have never failed me before! Uncle Joe, what do we do now? Is there still time to blame this on Bush? The sequester maybe?"
Biden: "This was supposed to be a big fucking deal."
Obama: "Well, at least there's still hope the Boston bomber will be a white guy."
Biden: "That would be a big fucking deal, Mr. President."
Obama: "Uncle Joe?"
Biden: "Yes Mr. President?"
Obama: "Shut the fuck up."
Have a nice trip!
Unfortunately, the B.S. never stops, so here's something to ponder on the way: http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp1302795
I hope they succeed. I know what's its like to be denied an assembly "permission slip".
On the good news front- Chicago democrats in the illinois house lost BIG on a attempt to ram through some of their "may issue" garbage via a shell bill today.
Why do we need a permit to peacefully assemble?
There needs to be as strong of a fight for the 1st Amendment as there has been for the 2nd Amendment.
So, the also don't believe in "the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Unsurprising. Do they understand what the alternative is?
Note that plenty of other public gatherings were allowed to proceed.

Major display of butt-hurt by MSNBC's Sarah Muller.
May God Bless you and keep you, and make His Face to shine upon you.
And home, safe, again.

Well hell didn't the British try to stop the Minute Men from forming up in Lexington????
Civil Disobedience at least, Oorah!
Let me know if you need the bail.
Go get 'em Mike. You are being held high around here.

Rolling on the floor in side splitting laughter notwithstanding.. ..how do these schmucks keep a straight face?
Or did they?
Not that this is funny Mike. But every time I read this kind of stuff it never ceases to amaze me at blatant attempts to ignore the LIE THROUGH YOUR TEETH-O-METER.
I'm curious as to how many 'peace officers' would be will to arrest 'oath keepers' who assemble anyway...

Yes they do. Why do you think there is all the fuss about firearms, lately?
