Whitewash. All you need to know about the OIG report in one sentence.

"We were unable to further investigate the communications between Newell and O’Reilly because O’Reilly declined our request for an interview."
Now we will see if all those promises that the Committee was waiting for the OIG report merely to impeach it with other documents and witnesses was true -- or if this is the end of the line for the hopes of justice and the rule of law.
I will have more comments after I've read the entire report.

"We also requested an interview with Kevin O’Reilly, a member of the White House’s National Security Staff[who] declined our request through his personal counsel."

I find it interesting that O'Reilly was willing to talk to the House Oversight Committee (but was not allowed to by the administration), but declined to talk to the IG investigators.

Not quite sure what it means, but it IS interesting.

Mike,
If I'm understanding this correctly, they investigated themselves? And couldn't get people to testify? Something stinks. Along the same lines, I investigated my anal sphincter and found it smelled like a freaking rose!

We cannot see the lie because it is obscured from our view by a screen of ... lies!

A New Zealand Judge summed up Erebus Airplane Crash report here by these profound words: "An orchestrated litany of Lies"

Perhaps we can lend the words to our American friends!

A Federal Investigator...and these fucking assholes are allowed to..DECLINE TO BE INTERVIEWED????

Well folks. This about sums it up. The Two Tiered In-Justice system on display before your very eyes. Mark this day, as the day the Government proved beyond a shadow of a doubt.. the depths of the corruption, the lies, and murdering stench that permeates these sub human animals, whom we pay their paychecks. I don't know about you...but this is the final straw for me. Senator Issa...you are a stooge.

If they won't answer questions friendly-like, put them under subpoena. If they still won't talk, put them under arrest. Any other ordinary private citizen would have had the same done to them post-haste.

Ahhh, but I'm forgetting . . .these are COOs. No, not Chief Operating Officers, but Congressional Only Ones. These COOs are not subject to the laws of the land as are us mere mortals. No, these COOs are above and outside the man-made law.

But they are NOT above the laws of God and physics. I leave the remainder of this ensuing thought exercise and it's conclusions to the student.

"Not quite sure what it means, but it IS interesting. "

It means that more than one person and/or entity is lying, and for numerous self-serving reasons.

Left out of the equation is of course, is serving the American people, their constitution and bill of rights.

Don't hammer Issa just yet. I have this weird feeling he's sitting there, metaphorically speaking, watching the idiots walk right into the box before slamming the door and saying 'Excuse me sirs, but I have evidence that massively contradicts your report'.
