Should President Obama win in November, it’s a certainty he’ll try once again to ban lead ammunition. Just two months after he moved into the White House, the National Park Service suddenly announced it was banning lead bullets from its parks. The blowback from sportsmen was intense, so the agency backed down. Mr. Obama surely will exert “more flexibility” in a second term to accomplish this backdoor assault on the Second Amendment.

The only possible upside here, is that the EPA have repeatedly said lead ammunition isn't within their statutory realm to regulate.
So the fears of an EPA-based ammo ban are...well, so far groundless, though I wouldn't put it past Zero to push for changes to that. Then again, he may go some other route.
Best thing going is to work at removing him from office, come November. Just my opinion, anyway.
Mike, I think it funny that we hate a man who has passed NO gun laws when the man who HAS passed gun bans(Mitt Rommny) is the only "choice".Remember Folks Rommny has ALLREADY DONE everything you hate about Obama. When he is sworn in will do the same things TO us he did TO MASS.
Would that ban include government agency's and law enforcement. Looks like DHS will have a lot of ammunition to dispose of.

Using phoney science, the left has tried to demonize lead, as opposed to lead salts, as being dangerous. If the lefties were right, places like Gettysburg would be off-limits. One precaution I do take is that; due to the fact that most indoor gun ranges do not have adequate ventilation, I do not use them.
To quote a famous American...
"I would like to direct this to the distinguished members of the panel. You lousy cork-suckers. You have violated my fargin' rights. This suminonbatching country was founded so that the liberties of common patriotic citizens, like me, could not be taken away by a bunch of fargin' ice holes, like yourselves."

It would be coolly ironic if we could get cops and prosecutors to lobby against it ;-).
Were I successful incumbent Obama, I'd ban any/all pointy cylindrical objects, regardless of their composition !! >Jeff
Got a shiny new nickel that says Romney loses the election. It was the Republicans to lose, and I think they worked a lot of overtime to find a candidate that would. Just my .02.
Ban Lead? Go ahead. Hmmm... copper jacketed precision steel bullets. Kevlar anyone?
Anonymous,
AP bullets aren't particularly useful for hunting unless you can make a brain/spinal shot and hunting is likely the largest civilian market for ammunition sales. Big holes that bleed a lot work a lot better than AP for standard heart/lung shots. Reckon we're better off with both than be limited to one. Most any rifle caliber (and some pistol calibers) bullet will tear a hole through 3A anyway, you don't need tungsten core to do that.
Please note; that, a AP ban has allready passed at the federal level.Ban soft point ammo and all "solid copper ammo" Is ,under current federal law AP!!Hence BANED!!! IE. No more ammo sales. Get it now? ALL "solid" ammo is baned as "cop killer" ammo.
