"Remember what's important on this night."

And for everyone who keeps hold of what is truly most important about this night. It is a message brought to us by the perfect child born in a manger in Bethlehem so very long ago. He came to light the world. He is the gift. And it is all about love. And I hope it comes to you, and comforts you, and remains.

Nimrod was reborn as Tammuz?

Semiramus, wife of Nimrod, had became pregnant with an illegitimate son and Nimrod threatened to dethrone her and expose her past as a prostitute. She apparently then plotted to have Nimrod killed.

Afterwards, she presented her son Tammuz as an immaculately conceived reincarnation of Nimrod. She presented him as the seed of the woman presented in Genesis 3, the messiah, and so Tammuz was the first Christ impostor, the first antichrist, allegedly born on December 25th.

After his death, Nimrod was revered as the god Marduk, also known as Baal – The Sun God, which is the primary name that other people would come to worship Marduk.

Semiramus was revered as the Moon Goddess, Great Mother, Divine Mother and Virgin Mother.

Jesus Christ, on the other hand was born on the Feast of Tabernacles, in September.

".. It's all about love." Nice, but quite a juxtaposition, this and the previous post.
I guess the author failed to say ".. It's all about love [on this one day]" or "... It's all about love [for those who look and think like us]".

I know much of the belligerence and name calling here is an act, though one with a serious purpose, so I'll take this Christmas eve posting as representing your truer self. Or at least an effort to better oneself which I should try and emulate, and so I shall.
Merry Christmas to all.

Of all the many things I have to be thankful for this Christmas, SSI and you, Dutchman, are on the top of my list. Mike, I hope the best for you and your family in 2016!! Peace be with you, and all the faithful here who read your work!

By the way, Hugh Hewitt mentioned the other day about the Christmas full Moon. Seems the last time this happened was in 1776, when General Washington crossed the Delaware. Was overcast that night, so the Brits had no clue.

It is overcast here in Arizona tonite. Coincidence?

Merry Christmas and God save the Republic!! He is Risen.

Luke2: 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field , keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo , the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid . 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold , I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes , lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying , 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

From Luke chapter 2:

8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Yup, Jesus is Lord, that's the truth. My eternity trusts in Him. But he was born in a stable perhaps, and laid in a manger. He was not born in a feeding trough-a manger. I'm being a jerk, but every word is truth. Praise the Lord.

Agree with Warrior Class....though there is the argument to be made that Yeshua was born in the spring....during one of the spring feasts...possibly Passover. But overall...Dec.25th definitely wasn't Jesus' birthday and if we are told to love the truth...why persist in the lie, especially when based on pagan holy-days and child sacrifice under "ever green" trees a top mountains?
