The power to allow handguns in cars is the same as the power to disallow them. The false premise here is that government has the power to do either- it hasn't any such authority because the power to decide was removed specifically via enumeration of the RIGHT to arms....the right enjoyed by the PEOPLE themselves (as in not a state power).
I cheer not this "allowance". I oppose its premise stridently.

Still has to pass the House (chances are better there than they were in the Senate) and get signed by the governor.
