"Lairds of Fairfax" is an apt description for the NRA. Only life members may vote for the board of directors. Life membership is out of reach for most working Americans.
I have a call in to GOA to see if the same is true. If so, I will give up on the national organizations and donate solely to those, like Dutchman 6, who are physically present at actions or protests. Most of them are working Americans, or those who can no longer work due to disability. Those are the folks putting their lives on the line for the Second Amendment, not the tuxedoed rich, whose wish for no new taxes is tempered by the fact that perhaps some of the fat cats would actually have to pay their weight, instead of sending jobs and company headquarters overseas, so that taxes can be avoided entirely.
