David Codrea needs our prayers. "Tell everyone to leave me the hell alone, okay?"

Just received this email from David's wife Maureen:
Hi Mike and Rosey,
David collapsed in the middle of the night last night and fractured two ribs and also put couple of lumps on his head. He is (in the hospital).
They are taking tests, and will keep him for a couple of days.
Maureen
David has been struggling with pneumonia but was getting better. This is a real setback and so keep him and his family in your prayers.
LATER: Spoke briefly with David who, in great pain (think pneumonic coughing with two broken ribs), confirms the above and asks politely, "Tell everyone to leave me the hell alone, okay?" I don't think that request prevents prayers offered in his behalf.

Dear Lord, the Word tells us that You are the great physician – I still believe that and I know that you continue to heal today. I ask that you would touch David and heal his/her body. I ask that you touch every muscle, tissue and cell in his/her body and strengthen, heal and uplift him/her. Please place your loving arms around David and let him/her know that you love them. I pray that you would wipe away the discouragement, fear and anxiety they are feeling. Give his/her mind peace, comfort and rest. I pray that the pain would begin to diminish even today.

Lord, I now ask that you would surrouond David with heavenly angels. Let your angels bring him/her peace and comfort. Help David’s mind to meditate on you and your goodness. Now Lord I entrust my beloved to you. Help me to not be anxious but to continue to trust you throughout this situation. Help me to find words of comfort in your bible that I may share them with David. I know that you are a good God and I ask that you give me a greater measure of faith to continue to believe.” We ask all these things in Jesus name. Amen

Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Thank you Kenneth, your eloquent prayer brought tears to my eyes. I will add my own for David and Mike. The Scripture tells us that no matter how inadequate our utterances are He knows our heart and needs before we even ask. We pray for a speedy recovery.

This is dismaying news. My thoughts and prayers are with David (and you too Mike) for a rapid recovery.

When you talk with him again, please convey my concern and best wishes to him. This can't be much fun. At all.

Fell and broke a rib in late December last year, still hurts some when I cough. Lord, bless David with quick healing and freedom from pain. Give him and his family wisdom and strength to get through this trial. I ask this in the name of Jesus and by His blood. Amen
