Laura Ingraham led off her show today with a blistering indictment of the Gunwalker Scandal (and when I called in I couldn't get past the screener.)

Seriously. Told him who I was, my part in the opening of the scandal and how I wanted to thank Ingraham. All the schmuck had to say was 'Thanks for calling" and hung up. Sheesh. Tough screener.

I once met a guy in a a small-time record shop who tried to convince me he was Vito Bratta, guitar player for "White Lion" (this was back in the 80's). Yeah, the band was scheduled to play that night in our town, but he had no entourage, fans following him, nothing. He did look similar to the promotional images, but I thought he was merely a really good look-alike trying to draw attention to himself. Attending the concert later that night I saw him again on stage and he was still wearing the same outfit he wore in the store!! Oops, my bad.

The point is, it's sometimes hard for people to believe you really are who you say you are, especially on the phone. It's just too good to be true almost. Don't take it personal.

The screener sounds like the typical dipshit in today's business world. Probably thought you might upstage Laura Ingraham, rather than the rational thought that you would be a valuable asset to the discussion. I've seen this type of idiot all too often in the corporate America these days. Their main thought it how far they can get their tongue up their bosses @ss rather than how to do their job better.

Oh well, Laura's loss.

Be proud!

It's found its wings and is fledging.

You found it, raised it and hand fed it 24 hours a day and now it's growing up and flying on its own.

I listened for little bit. sorry mike your not going to get recognition from that twit.

How would a screener be able to vet your authenticity? Better safe than sorry. I bet a lot of kooks call these talk shows.

Then again, the screener could have taken your information and sought some confirmation - even if it was for a later discussion.

Could be that Laura uses the same "professional" callers that Beck and Limbaugh use.........

I'm not surprised. Last week I tried to call in when she said the NBC (CBS, whoever) reporter was the only one on the story. I never got on...

I say, go ahead and take it personally anyway. I always do.

I figure she needs to know.

Here's my message sent to her via her website's "contact" page - I'd encourage others to do likewise:

"Way to go, genius call-screener!

As Laura was discussing "Project Gunwalker" today, one of the two men who is 100% responsible for bringing this story to light called in and was unceremoniously blown off.

Genius!

If you're at all interested in learning the whole-truth of this story - from one of the two men who literally "broke" the case - you should remedy this screw-up ASAP!

Mike Vanderboegh is a highly intelligent, well-spoken, no nonsense patriot, and you couldn't do better than to have him as a guest!

You can reach him at GeorgeMason1776ATaol DOT com or -- according to [a phone-lookup site] his phone number MAY be (###) ###-####

Also, it really sounds like your call-screener may be out of his league...

I hope this helps - and I hope you've got the decency to make this right!

Charles Osgood talked about it Tuesday on the Osgood File.
