I love the video! I went to his website to check it out and found a link to an interview he just did in Australia. He was VERY supportive of the restrictive gun laws in Australia. Apparently guns are fine for him but not for everybody else unless they were able to jump through all of the hoops and pay all the fees. I really had hoped that after making his great video that he would have been a true RKBA spokesperson. I guess not.
That is a great video. Don't know about the behind the scenes real Steve Lee, but often times the public mask is quite different from the private face.
Many authors are that way, in fact I've heard rumors that an author, whom I won't name, whose reputation is based on hard core in-your-face conservative patriotism was seen at a Code Pink fund raiser some time ago..! Can't hardly believe it but I think we should stick him on a Stryker frame and spin him around a few times while asking some pertinent questions; and just maybe a few CCs of water could be used to rinse out his nasal sinuses, and/or maybe a Californio medicinal mary-jane recipient could be brought in to blow a few puffs of wacky-tabbacy up his nose and see what he says then. After all you can never be too careful when it comes to vetting members of your organization - or so said author has said... Anyway, even if it's all just dastardly dis-information he deserves it - there hasn't been an 'Absolved' posting ALL YEAR!
It then goes to a screen with a bunch of different videos (there is no direct link to the video you want). The video is called "Rocket launcher rocker". After you click on it there will be a couple of opening remarks by the newscaster, then they will play the video, and finally you come to the interview with the newscaster. I look forward to everyone's follow on comments in case I am being to critical.
David, The most recent post on his website at http://ilikeguns.com.au/ (on Jan. 25, 2010) has this link: http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-au&brand=ninemsn&tab=m164
The link is actually not direct, but at the moment, the third video on that page is the one with the interview.
Yet another example of a 'gun owner' who is not a lover of liberty, but rather supports statism.
It's an okay song, but of course I prefer "I'm Going Shooting Today" by my band, The Rockin' Chair! It's the 3rd video down on the left side. Enjoy! Bill III
Redleg's right. In the interview that follows the song Mr. Lee cheerfully assures the newsbabe that he supports Australia's draconian gun laws because they've done "a good job" of keeping guns away from people who shouldn't have them, and agrees that Aussie gun laws needed to be "tightened up" after the Port Arthur massacre.
So "no worries", as they say Down Under, as long as HE still gets to play with guns.
And ditto on "Rule 3", David. A self-proclaimed Reasonable Gun Owner ought to set a better example.
Just my two cents. He is Australian and as such he probably needs to toe a line in order not to incur the wrath of Australia's equivalent of our Batt Fay. With a song like his and the draconian gun laws of Australia as they are, he might not be able to say otherwise and still keep his collection of guns without a visit from the proctologists and others. I for one will accept the message, even if the messenger may be imperfect.
You people who are saying that Steve supports "draconian gun laws" are misquoting him. He says that he supports the "current laws" which forbid felons from having guns. News flash for those of you in the US... we have those same laws here! Every law abiding gun owner in the US should be able to agree that keeping felons from having guns is a good form of "gun control". That's all Steve is saying as well.
Before you jump on his back, take a few moments to listen to the interview again. Then ask yourself if you understand what the "current" gun control laws are like Australian. You are likely jumping to the wrong conclusions.

I like guns.
I'd like to use 'em on hypocrites.

You've got to be kidding me??? Anyone who supports his position can't be a Patriot
