Latest outrage: 8th grader who wore NRA shirt faces year of jail -- for talking

More importantly, if one can face a year in jail for talking when an armed agent of the government has ordered one to be quiet, the First Amendment has effectively ceased to exist. There is no free speech when speaking against the government's wishes is a "crime," that can lead to a child spending a year in a cage.

And this is from Logan County?

I am officially becoming ashamed of my redneck heritage.

And yes, the officer in question who believes that a 14 year old talking could somehow hinder his ability to do his job is a useless sack and could never be counted on to perform his duties properly.

WV Supreme court previously held that questioning or remonstrating a police officer is not obstruction of justice.
Wilmoth v. Gustke

The officer in question is undoubtably tough in dealing with 14 year olds, as is the band teacher. We'll see how they do against adults in a court room, if they live that long.

I doubt the gutless NRA will do anything about this kids problems. After all, they don't need a poster child when they have Eddie the Eagle.

Although, I was never sure if Eddie the Eagle was meant to attract the fursuit weirdos into the gun culture, or to advertise to the world that Wayne LaPierre rolls that way. :D

Let this be a lesson to any of you fools out there who think that the cops are the "good guys". At all levels, their job is to BUST you. That's it.

The NRA will just go "neutral" on this, just like it did the BAN on carrying rifles and pistols openly that now sits in the governor of Illinois desk awaiting his signature.

When will folks realize that the NRA has become just another cog in the Democrat/Republican Party Machine that is bent on governmental control over every " right" people think they have? The NRA is part of the problem - just like the one political party that claims two names.

Wake up folks.

So, where is NRA "A" rated Senator Joe Manchurian on this outrage?

Will someone knock on the door of the Bloomie Illegal Mayor's Bus to give him the sitrep?

I was thinking of calling the Logan PD and asking what was required to apply for a job there. I figured it would be a fun conversation:
Is it a job requirement for Logan officers to be cock sucking pansies, or is ex-chief James Adkins the department's token pansy?

Surely any cop like Adkins who can't do his job in the presence of a talking 8th grader is a pansy and a dickless moron. By the way, can you tell me how a dickless moron got to be chief, and why he quit the department a few years ago, only to slink back with his tail between his ball less legs, and what idiot re-hired him?
Oh, you're officer Adkins? What's it like to go through life as a dickless moron?

That was then, this is now. Precedent only counts when those in charge want it to.
