My question to cops who would be stupid enough to volunteer for confiscation squads is this: Are you OK with killing folks who will be defending a constitutionally protected right?
If your answer is "yes" or "if necessary", then any further dialog is rendered irrelevant except for one final question: Are your affairs in order? That's not empty big talk or bluster, but rather just a sorry-ass reality that a handful of fools are working hard to bring about.
I suppose that in the end, as always, the winner and loser will come down to who grows most weary of attending funerals first.
Lot of talk in the comments over there about when the red team starts going door to door to collect firearms. I don't think it's gonna go down like that, at least not at first. Probably be more like this: You wake up one day and discover that your drivers license and whatever professional licenses you may have are suspended, your credit cards are non-functional and your bank account is frozen. Then you get a letter from the Man saying that
"...our records indicate that you purchased XYZ rifles on such-and such dates. The deadline for you to turn them in has passed and our records further indicate that you have failed to comply. If you bring them to such-and-such location within the next seventy-two hours we'll talk about turning your life back on."
I fear that this soft approach will clean up a lot of their backlog, leaving behind a hardcore residue (more than III percent, I hope). After that, we'll see how the door kickers are utilized.

Thanks for all the hard work, sir. God bless.
Why would anyone comply?
Ha! Now they're dicussing an amnesty, for those who "wanted" to register their contraband, but couldn't.
Kinda sounds like whistling past the graveyard of tyrannical agendas, to me.
